Review: Season 5, Episode 20: Problems of Love

Okay, I'm pathetic. I'm sorry. But I am finally writing this. You're getting a doll review next though. Episode reviews are harder to write than they look and I need something inbetween. Do you guys want City Style Bloom or Flora?

Well, we start off exactly where we left off. The demon singing whales are here and everyone's distraught because they're evil now.

Heeey. Their song, it's horrible. Reminds me of Mermaid Melody. Though these horrible "uuuuuhug!" motions of pain are just too bouncy. It looks awkward. I'm getting tired of Icy. Never ever ever leaving Tritannus? Well guess what! Later in the season, you, will never ever ever... get back together!

These whales are sitting here causing us ultimate pain. Strong whales, man. They finally get up and Bloom is about to attack the thing but NOPE, Musa says we can't hurt it. Why can't we ever hurt our enemies?! It's always someone saying not to! Usually Flora though!

Though at least this time Musa has a legit reason; that Melody can't function without them. Okay, I give you a pass, Musa. JUST GET OUT ICY AND TRITANNUS WHY ARE ALL OF YOUR LINES THE SAME

Now she's singing to the darn things and it sounds nothing like Romi Dames at all. I mean, it's really pretty, but this does not sound like her. She tells them to go home. How do giant whales get out of the Infinite Ocean and back to their own planet alone? They're gonna be swimming around space all afternoon aren't they.

So we head to the Pillar of Balance (wooo) and we've got to stabilize it. NO IT'S TIME FOR CONVERGENCE. Someone needs to count how many times we've done Convergence so far this Season. Come ooooon. Hey it worked. I still hate convergence.

Now we're riding up Melody on ROY'S YACHT. WITHOUT ROY. We have a small father/daughter moment and Musa mentions how maybe she could use her Sirenix wish to bring back her mom, but she knows it's not right.

YES
MUSA UNDERSTANDS WHAT I MEAN

Now we're talking to Faragonda about needing to acquire new skills. We need to 'understand the natural world'. Well, that's specific.

We need to understand how they work. Oh no stop Stella. Nature shouldn't be your new inspiration. You don't need a new inspiration stop stop.

We're in our room now and she's video-chatting to Brandon, listing off a million things she could totally do with nature but when he says the truth that that's too many things, she pretends the cellphone is breaking up and hangs up on him. Oh get out Stella.

Oh poor Flora is now her muse. Stella stop.

Tecna and Timmy are texting and looks like it's just time to talk about our boyfriends because Musa is talking about how she thinks Riven is cheating on her. HE'S NOT

Bloom is wondering about Sky and Sky is wondering about Bloom. No one can decide whether or not to call each other and then GUESS WHO WALKS IN DIASPRO YEAH HER

GET OUT DIASPRO MORE THAN STELLA

Diaspro calls Bloom to let her know she's gonna handle all of Sky's phonecalls from now on. I am so tired of Diaspro. I hate Diaspro.

Sky is in a big meeting talking about the incompetent council's subject when Bloom calls. Bloom you couldn't pick a worse time to become the relationship drama queen. Why did everyone decide to think about their boyfriends at once?!

Kiko draws a picture of Sky in a meeting and HOW DID HE KNOW

Bloom says it can't wait yes it can Bloom stop that this relationship drama is just making me angry at this point. His phone rings again and DIASPRO SAYS SHE TOLD HER HE WAS IN A MEETING DIASPRO JUST LEAVE

Sky's mom lets him take the call but he missed her. Now Bloom's crying on her bed. "Did you try his cell?" "He didn't answer." HE WAS IN A MEETING.

Looks like miss guardian of sirenix was eavesdropping on all of our relationship drama. She sounds JUST like someone who is it. It's someone out of a Disney movie. It could be Grandmother Willow but I don't tthink so WHO is it she sounds just like.

She gives us some relationship advice about how if Bloom doesn't think he's interested in Diaspro she has nothing to worry about. "Maybe Diaspro isn't the problem, maybe I am." No you both are.

Flora reminds her of the pendant and how it shows his love for her and now everything is okay. Alright that took a while.

We're in our adventure outfits and we're going to the Alfea Aviary! That's pretty. "Ah! Nature! Right, my muse?" GO AWAY STELLA

No powers in here, only our intuition. Alright. We step in and a giant bird tries to eat Flora. That's nice. We're all running from the giant birds and hiding in flowers. We figure out the birds just wanted to eat some flowers we were in the way of so we decide to find some more to make a peace offering.

There are some weird wind currents that apparently are just so amazing to be in. Come on you guys, you have wings and you fly you should know this feeling.

So we gathered a bunch of flowers and are holding them out for them to eat and take. But NOPE, Stella has to grab a red flower because she thinks it's pretty. Then she puts it on Flora like an outfit. My goodness poor Flora. I guess it's a nice dress but man, poor Flora.

Now a giant red bird takes Flora because it thinks she's food. We're flying on the yellow birds after red bird. We throw some red flower up in the air and it drops Flora. "STEELLLLAAAA" yes that's right. We finally caught Flora and Stella is so sorry no stop Stella.

Now we're with Tritannus and Icy again, and we put seal number two in the slot which drained Tritannus again. Daphne "will wait, but she will warn Bloom. Somehow." Stormy and Darcy are determined to seperate Tritannus and Icy.

Next episode preview, Tecna and Timmy are going on a date. This'll be fun.

What did you guys think of this episode?

Witty Toys Official Mermaid and 'Sweet Fairy' Images

I was going to do just episode reviews this week, but a friend of mine requested I check these out and post my opinion on them too. So here you guys go!

http://magixjourney.blogspot.com/2013/04/winx-club-sirenix-mermaid-and-sweet.html There's the images.

Witty Toys released their official promos of their new Mermaid dolls. We saw these designs years ago on those old Sirene books, it's nice we're finally getting dolls of them. It's too weird they're using Jakks heads though... I'm thinking the final dolls could have them, but it still doesn't make sense to me.

Going left to right, my opinions on them:

Aisha

She's probably my least favorite of the group, she's not bad or anything but her tail is very simple and plain and I'm not big on how bright her tail is. Her top doesn't have any special stuff to it either, only that one frill. But she's not bad. I'd probably rate her 6/10. Nice, but plain.

Bloom

I surprisingly really like Bloom, which is odd since I never liked that design in the Sirene books. The color they made her tail is perfect and I love those little frills coming off it at the top. It's simple, but with a little extra flair which really improves the design as a whole. I'd give her a total 7/10.

Stella

I think Stella's probably my favorite. I'm impressed they kept the oddly tan skintone from the Sirene books, it looks really good! I like the little star at the top of her tail and how she has short frills coming off all of it at the seams. Though I don't particularly like that one piece of fabric hanging off, it doesn't contribute to the design at all. Her top is a little plain as well but I think that it's balanced out by the super busy tail. I'd give her a total 7.5/10 or so.

Flora

I'm not too big on Flora. I like the frills coming out everywhere but they're upstaged by that bright green stuff on her top and arms. I think it would've worked out better if they hadn't had any on her top and just made it like Bloom's but pink, and then kept the stuff on her arms but made it pink. The bright green is too overpowering though. I'd give her a 6.5/10 or so.

What do you guys think? I wish they'd made a Musa and Tecna too, since those two have amazing Sirene designs. But I'm happy they went and made these anyway. If they came to America (which they won't, I'm just saying that like 'if they were readily available in any store') I'd probably buy at least Bloom and Stella, maybe the other two too.

'Sweet Fairy' limited doll is pretty nice too, but I'm not too big on her. I really like her outfit, but not with wings and powers... that's not a fairy outfit. That's like an odd, girly date night outfit. I like it, but not with wings and all.

Speaking of wings. Those are actually pretty nice ones. Nothing special though, just average.

I don't really have much to say about this doll. I'd probably buy her if she came to America (same thing) but I wouldn't like her as much as some of the other, not limited dolls. Overall I'd probably rate her about a 6.5 or so out of 10.

What do you guys think of her?

Review: Season 5, Episode 19: The Singing Whales

Ugh, sorry it took me so long to write this. I'm pathetic. I know I said I'd have it up Thursday or Friday but stuff happened and I got busy. But let's get started now.

So we start off with more Icy/Tritannus swimming, talking about ruling, and Tritannus says the cheesiest line to Icy about how 'she already rules' and Stormy somehow manages to become equally annoying as the happy couple by going 'lalalalalalala' with her fingers in her ears. This entire situation makes me so angry.

Wooo Pillar of Balance

More incompetent council time. These people have no idea how to interact with each other. I hate this. More Sky/his dad drama and how Eraklyon must always come first and I don't want to watch this scene. Sky pushes away Bloom and Diaspro is just Diaspro-ing do I really have to explain that?

Now we're back at Alfea and Musa, Riven, Tecna, and Flora are hanging out in the dorm. Wow. I can't believe Riven actually showed up.

Riven is humming a song and man that is NOT how you hum. He's like... jeez I can't even describe it just stop it man.

And Musa's happy since it's her mother's favorite song. So they talk about music and how wonderful it is for a while and how there's whales under the melody. So then we flashback to little Musa with her mom and this scene confuses me. It has her dad looking like he does now and her looking about 9 or so with her mom, but her mom is dead by now? Her mom died when she was still wearing the wooly uncomfortable looking outfit and her dad was younger. Why.

Well now she's wearing the most 80s getup I've ever seen in Winx Club. I guess it works. I like 80s clothing. This scene lasts like, a minute or two. This is a bit too long.

Heartfelt moment about missing your mom. Musa says especially today and Riven freaks out and runs off. Good job, Riven. And now Musa and her friends are overreacting. Getting super mad and acting like he's being bad but man he just got uncomfortable lay off.

Then they look outside and see him talking to random blonde girl from the Disco party. And now everyone thinks he's cheating on Musa. DUDE, is everything cheating to you guys?! Can't he just talk to a friend as he leaves?!

Now Kiko is having a weird scene where he sees a female bunny and they make noises that sound just like Bibble from Barbie Fairytopia it is so creepy.

So now we're back with Musa. It's the singing whales day apparently so she brings her dad up on video chat. I'm surprised her dad got to show up. We talk about how it's so fun to hear the singing whales and no one should miss it, and Musa gets to see through the phone.

Now we're back at the incompetent castle and Bloom went to her room and is crying on her bed. About how Sky's so terrible and didn't show that he loved her and pushed her away. Another Daphne vision woop. Daphne can't you just like, call Bloom? No more weird visions.

We're back with Icy and Tritannus and the man-selkies get in battle formation and ITS SO TERRIBLE BEAUSE ITS ThE SAME FORMATION THEY WERE IN TWNEtY SECONDS AGO WHENE THEY CAME ON SCREEN HELP

of course we crush them. Then Tritannus takes the seal out of the pillar and Icy says 'Rock and Roll!' and no stop that. More 'yes we got it we will rule!' How many times can you make it clear you will rule!?!? YES I GET IT

Darcy and Stormy decide to go off on their own to prove that Icy and Tritannus need them. Now with the seal being gone all the worlds are having an earthquake and it's these same Andros mermaids who can't handle any rough tides jeez

On Melody Musa's still watching the whales when Darcy and Stormy attack and do SOMETHING with the whales and no one can find them. HOW can something that big be hidden.

We all agree we need to go to Melody but we need the other girls for it too. So we all call up Bloom and we're gonna go, when an earthquake strikes the incompetent council. Don't ask what's happening Diaspro. Be quiet Diaspro. Sshhh.

Sky's dad continues to be self-centered and only focusing on his kingdom. Cough, cough, didn't we get all this drama about him picking his world over Domino in movie number two?

So now we're in Roy's boat and I still wish I knew why Roy doesn't drive it anymore. Super rough tides, the boat crashing around... I assume we're on Melody, but it doesn't really look like it. It just looks like a generic ocean.

Aaand now we're in the Infinite Ocean! Why are the selkies always just waiting for us?! Gosh darn it, you have your own jobs! Go away!

I love how Bloom and Stella say together Let's Ambush Them, and then Stella's like, "Ambush?" Dude, you said it too.

So we hide so they can't see us. For some reason the selkies come too. Why. They're not gonna help. Icy and Tritannus swim by and we question why Darcy and Stormy aren't there. I love how we keep splitting up into two groups of Tecna, Musa, and Flora, and then Bloom, Stella, and Aisha. It's like they know they're the ones that get barely any attention.

We attack! And we have a fight that I really don't want to describe because I am so bad at that. It's oddly slow-motion though and we almost kill Icy again. Icy, grow up. You used to be competent. Now you're not. Just like the Sovereign's Council.

WHY IS THIs FIGHT SO SLOW-mOTION

I KNOW WE'RE UNDERWATER BUT COME ON

Aisha grabs Tritannus' trident and come on ATTACK HIM WITH IT

but nope, he manages to grab it back that is so lame. He's the one that threw it at her in the first place come ON. Don't throw your stuff if you want it back, we learn that in like 2nd grade.

Darcy and Stormy come riding up on giant evil singing whales and shows Icy. They sit there evil laughing until the next episode preview.

Speaking of the next episode preview. Diaspro, Musa helping the whales, everything you expect. Looks like just an extension of this episode. It'll probably be good.

Could these be the Winx's wishes?

Sorry you guys don't get an episode review today. It's taking me longer than usual. So instead you get this.

On Nick's latest Winx Club quiz, Who's Your Winx Monster Match? (here's a link! http://www.nick.com/quizzes/winx-club-whos-your-winx-monster-match-quiz.html), one of the questions is about Sirenix wishes.

Now whether you want to admit, Nick's quizzes... are the kind of super obvious quizzes, where let's say it's to find out what Winx you're most like-- it asks you what color hair you have. Just, like, THOSE quizzes. You should all know what I mean.

Which makes me wonder... could these options be the Winx Club's Sirenix wishes? Or something Nick made up? The quiz covers four fairies, basically. Bloom, Flora, Aisha, and Tecna.

These answers aren't so obvious I can easily match them each up to a girl, but here's my guess:

An end to world hunger; Tecna
An end to all fighting; Bloom
To fix global warming; Flora
I'd wish for the safety of my family; Aisha

Bloom and Tecnas were the main challenge. I wasn't sure which one went with who, so who knows on that one.

These wishes... don't seem very good to me. Aisha's seems like it could work, but the others? No way. They're all way too big things, plus if you end all fighting... what are you gonna do in Season 6, anyway?

But you never know. This is one of "those" quizzes.

What do you guys think? Do you think these could be the Winx Club's wishes? (also, PS. I got the Devourer for my result! What'd you guys get?)

New Jakks Pacific SDCC Daphne Doll

LOOOOOOOK what's coming out..!!!!

You guys better be SUPER excited because man this is amazing. She's officially on ToysRUs Canada's site! http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=20365846

I love that they actually made her orange. None of the other companies had the guts to do that and look at how amazing it turned out. She's orange and she looks exactly like the CGI.

I think it'd be better if the dress was a color a bit further from her skin, but hey I'm not gonna complain too much about this because we're getting a Daphne.

I love the things on her arms. They look torn. Which works for a spirit.

It doesn't look like she has a face; that's kinda cool and creepy at the same time. I mean, of course I see lips, but that's because they're molded on. I wonder if she'll even have like, eye outlines or something.

I'm loving the molded on hair/mask/hat whatever that is. I know people would probably complain it's molded and not real hair but MAN, do you really want that in real hair? That doesn't even look like real hair in the TV show!

So it also looks like she's going to be a Comic Con doll. That's a little bit of a pain but since Winx Club isn't extremely popular it should be fine. Blue Bloom went up on TRU Canada's website like this, too-- so my guess this girl is going to be limited to 1010.

I wonder if they will make equivalents to Silver and Gold Bloom, too? I can't think what they could be though. Maybe one would be 2D Daphne?

But anyway, I am SOOOO excited!!

What do you guys think of her? Do you plan to get her? Do you think they'll make Silver and Gold equivalents?

New Witty Toys Sirenix Dolls

http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/484311_625142950834704_1630610187_n.jpg

There's a link, since I'm not sure if these images are leaked or what? I'll pull down the link if it turns out they are. :P

Credit to Winxisawesome of One&OnlyWinxClub for posting this on BelieveInWinx forum!

Anyway! I know there's been a lot of confusion about just what these dolls are. They're Witty. No, I don't have any confirmation or anything, but I'm positive that's what they are.

They have Witty bodies. Those definitely aren't Jakks-- Jakks are much more slender and skinny. Less curvy as well.

Yes, I know they have Jakks Pacific heads on them... but Witty's weird. I've seen them do this before-- they modeled their outfits on Jakks dolls. I guess they just stuck Jakks heads on them so they wouldn't be taking pictures of headless dolls because these aren't finished. They most definitely won't come out with Jakks heads, because even apart from that, these are the Believix hairstyles. They'd have unique Sirenix hairstyles if these were the final heads.

Now that that's been cleared up. I actually quite like these bodies. I don't get the lack of accuracy though-- what's up with Flora's tights? Why no pink? They are pink in the show, right? There's also something weird going on with Aisha's outft I can't place.

I doubt these are even the final outfits though, because in case you guys don't remember, Witty released many different images of their Harmonix line before they came out, and they looked way different than the final versions. So maybe these will be more accurate when the time comes.

What do you guys think of them? Do you have a different theory on what they are? Are you excited to see what Jakks does when it's their turn?

Review: Season 5, Episode 18: The Devourer

Theme soooong We're The Winx!

We start off with The Trix and Tritannus deciding to steal another seal, but a "really big fish" comes and attacks the Trix. It looks like a mixture between Monstro and um. Those fish that live at the bottom of the sea with the little lights on their heads.

We have a chase scene and it tries to eat Icy and grabs onto her hair. Well geez man, this is why you don't have hair down to your ankles. This'll teach you.

But then of course Tritannus zaps it to save Icy and takes control of it. Apparently it's name is the Devourer. That's hard to say man. HE TAKES CONTROL OF EVERY SINGLE THING. CANT YOU LEAVE SOME STUFF TO JUST FUNCTION ON ITS OWN.

I'm calling it Monstro from now on. They decide to send Monstro after the selkies and then Daphne has her usual moany 'must warn Winx...' moment. Daphne I know you're in pain but this is getting old.

Now we're at Alfea and Bloom, Stella, and Aisha have to go to the Sovereign's Council. And Flora, Musa, and Tecna have training with Codatorta. Stella WAS getting better in Season 5 but nope nope nope she calls it a gala and tries to decide what people need to wear.

She then zaps the most unattractive animal print war costumes onto Aisha and Bloom I have ever seen. I must say though, Aisha's hair looked cute.

So then she zaps them back into those same Ballgown flower dresses from the Domino party. Then she says a line that I actually thought was kinda cute. "Let's get politicking!"

We're on Domino now, at the Council. They welcome Nereus and Tressa, yay!! I like those too. How come Nereus gets to be crown prince Nereus but Tressa is just princess Tressa? Did Nereus just seriously only credit Bloom, Stella, and Aisha for rescuing them? HELLO FLORA MUSA AND TECNA WERE THERE TOO.

ROY
ROY
I SAW ROY
ROY IS ROYAL?
NO GET OUT ROY
ROYAL ROY
WHY IS ROY HERE

Now we get a stuck-up king moment where none of the kings can agree to team up. Solaria and Eraklyon specifically are being especially bratty.

Now we're underwater and the selkies are playing with the metamorphosis fish. IS THAT ALL THEY DO? TRAIN FISH? When they should be guarding their gates?!??! No wonder Tritannus gets through so easy! The guardians are just playing with fish all day!

The selkies are still creepy in CGI. They see the Devourer and we start a chase scene of Monstro chasing them around. We get in a cave to hide but it sees us and bangs on our cave scaring everyone.

So now we're training with Codatorta and Riven, Helia, and Timmy ~just happen~ to be the guys assigned to help make sure this giant wild dragon Codatorta brought doesn't get away. Are the people at Redfountain just, really big shippers? Do they ship students with each other and that's why they assign them to certain missions?

The Winx are supposed to control this dragon with their Sirenix powers. They just kinda stand there for a moment like, "aw dang it." Until they finally transform. I like the Sirenix 2D transformation. It's growing on me. It's still not as good as the early ones, but I'd say better than Harmonix.

Musa tells Flora to be nice to it. THAT'S how you handle wild dragons, yeah! But then you know. It attacks.

Back on Domino! Bloom and Sky step out of the room to have a romantic moment. Stella tells her dad she thinks they need to team up to defeat Tritannus and that she knows what she's talking about.

Back to our romantic moment. We have a romantic moment but then Diaspro comes in. Were you guys really not expecting that? Really? You should've known she was gonna come here. She tells Bloom to give him up because she's so gonna have him but then they have a small sass-off. I don't like either of these girls this Season.

WOOP ITS DAPHNE TIME. We're haaaaving a vision. At least this time Daphne didn't give us a stupid riddle and actually told us where we need to go. She told us the selkies are in trouble near the Pillar of Light.

Bloom realizes she can't leave and calls the other girls up to have them do it.

"Okay, so we tried singing to it, reasoning with it, feeding it."
"Don't forget being nice to it!"
"That's right, laugh it up!"

I love this relationship this Season. MusaxRiven yes.

Did Flora just call some tendrils on it's mouth mustaches? Dude, if you're gonna call 'em that, it's a singular mustache.

We decide we need to grab the 'mustaches' and we do so, taming the dragon. Who'd think the 'mustaches' would be the way to control a wild dragon.

Today we learned every creature has a weak spot! I KNOW WE'RE GONNA USE THAT ON MONSTRO I JUST KNOW IT.

Yep now we're going to find Monstro. The selkies are still in that cave and they finally manage to escape it after Monstro hit it so hard that it fell apart. The selkies still look scary in CGI.

Noooow time for another chase scene. There seems to be a lot of these this episode. Flower selkie gets cornered in by Monstro and is scared but then she sees the Winx, which apparently means swim into the Monstro's mouth. WHY did you do that. Flora's now panicky and coming to help.

None of our attacks are helping... what's the use in Sirenix if it doesn't affect these undersea creatures? We realize it's Tritannus' Monstro now and that we need to find it's weak spot YES I KNEW IT.

We find that it's the undersea deep sea fish light thing I can't remember the name of and attack it all at once, which makes it then spit out flower selkie and then just drift down dying.

Everything's okay now! Happy selkie reunion moment.

Back at the Council, Stella's dad agrees to unite with the other kingdoms if everyone does, but Sky's dad is still being a jerkhead and that makes Stella's dad sigh and agree to fight alone as well. We have another stupid Diaspro moment where she tells Bloom Sky will be hers. I'm getting tired of Diaspro.

Next episode preview we're taking the Pillar of Balance's seal and Daphne tells us just how dangerous Tritannus' actions are. That is the most vague next episode description I have ever seen.

I think I liked previous episodes better but this one wasn't too bad either, it was just kinda boring. What did you guys think of it?

Review: IcyxTritannus

Our little Icy has finally grown up and fallen in love, this time for real. And now I'm gonna share my thoughts on the relationship. Sorry this post isn't very organized-- it's mostly a ramble of my different thoughts loosely tied together into a post.

"Hey, how come we don't get any real moments?!"

So, an evil ice witch and a evil mutant fishman. Obviously the cutest couple. Riiiight?

To be honest, I really don't mind the concept. Icy finally getting a boyfriend, and no more of that stupid three Trix competing for one man that really doesn't want any of them junk we got with both Darkar and Valtor.

But the execution is... less than stellar. Up until The Eclipse, there was no real love shown and you couldn't tell if it was simply her manipulating him or what.

I don't know about you guys, but I've always thought that if Icy were to get into a relationship she would be the dominant one. I can't see her bowing down to any guy, no matter how much she liked him if there's no benefit in it for her.

But it's also so hard to tell her true feelings for Tritannus... I guess her taking the hit for him in The Eclipse was the proof that she really did love him, but up until then all we got was "I will rule! And you'll be my empress!" "Oooooh, Tritannus!" and Darcy and Stormy puking their guts out over it. Winx writers, if you're gonna make a couple, how about like, develop it? Please?

This is the face of a loving boyfriend.
Moving past the first half, since nothing else happened to them in it, I'm actually starting to warm up to the pairing. Well, starting in Faraway Reflections. (that was the name of the episode, right? I've blanked out! Can't remember!) Though I must say Icy is oddly devoted to a man that she met around fourteen episodes ago, and has had no real moments with.

The one thing that doesn't make sense to me though... is why would she ignore Darcy and Stormy's warning that Daphne gave? Does she not want her boyfriend to like.. live? Shouldn't she take this seriously for the sake of his life?

Maybe she thinks he really knows what he's doing... but she shouldn't, honestly. Isn't she picking up any clues? How when he stuck the seal in, he was completely and utterly drained? Doesn't that send signals of I dunno.. "wow, he doesn't really know what he's doing." Or is she just one of those girls that thinks everything he does is amazing because HE did it?

Icy... realize the situation and team up with your sisters to save your lives. You can go back to your goal of ruling the world afterward if you'd like. Maybe before he activates it she'll realize.

The other thing that really gets me about the relationship is the fact that she's treating her sisters like dirt-- she honestly wouldn't mind them straight out leaving. Weren't they together since Season 1? That's five years, and most likely more since I'm assumning they knew each other before Season 1. And no I'm not counting them as blood sisters, I'm thinking sisters like cheetah sisters. ;) (You guys remember that movie right?!)

But anyway. You can't just drop the girls you've been bffs with for so many years for a guy. You even formed one being with them once come on. You can't forget that. That has to be a cherished memory.

I also can't believe she took that hit for him. Icy seems like the kind of girl that would put herself before others, even if they're her loved ones. She barely knew Tritannus... strikes me as teenage love, yet again. I just wonder if it's gonna last or not.

My guess is if it does? If Tritannus is killed, she's going to die with him, and if it doesn't, she'll ditch him like she did Valtor.

What do you guys think of the happy couple?

Review: Season 5, Episode 17: Faraway Reflections

I was tired and busy the last few days so the episode review got put off until now. Woops. No pictures today either.

We start with the usual "we will rule... together!" junk from Icy and Tritannus as they stand in front of the pillar wanting to put in the thing. Darcy and Stormy complain and swim away, but Daphne stops them and asks them to stop Tritannus from putting all the seals in because if he does he'll unleash power he can't control and kill everyone. Guess that's not good.

They just kinda brush her off and zap her. No one listens to Daphne. Ever. Then she withers a little and yells for Bloom. Tritannus proceeds to put the seal in the throne and then it zaps him, turning him back into a human. I don't know why it did that, but whatever. It gave Daphne enough power to dream-communicate with Bloom.

Daphne tells Bloom to find the eye of inspiration, that shines above and below. Then we have some "cute" rabbit moments where Kiko's being tossed around. It's not cute.

Bloom wakes everyone up including Stella. Stella complains tons and Bloom quite literally has to drag her out of the bed, and she makes the best facial expression as that happens.

Darcy and Stormy contemplate on 'what if Daphne's right?' You better end up fighting against Tritannus and Icy at the end because they're being stupid guys. Tritannus and Icy agree to go to garbage island on Earth because apparently that's where you go for pollution. Darcy and Stormy tell Icy to ditch him and I'm tired of typing names. She says no because he's perfect and says she could lose the two of them though. Icy I don't like you this Season.

We're now in the Alfea Archive looking for a book on the Eye of Inspiration, and we have an odd moment where everyone spouts names of books with eyes in it that was mildly entertaining. One&OnlyWinxClub screencapped it if you guys wanna see.

Nope nope nope it's time for selkies. Why won't the selkies just go away?! They're not helping!! Ever!! And they don't even have a use anymore!! Filla does the usual signature selkie small beam attack and then gets shot down by Icy. What did you expect?!

Now we're sitting right outside Alfea since apparently that's the best place to think at 2AM. Aisha asks her Sirenix Guardian about the eye, who says that it's big and round and very bright tonight. ITS THE MOON ITS THE MOON GUYS.

I was right it was the moon. I like this Sirenix guardian she's cute. She doesn't give you stupid half answers that you have to think forever about.

Somehow we realize that that means a well, the shining below part that is. We lean over it and see the moon and a giant beam zaps up into the moon, and it takes us to a weird water room that reminds me of the Planetarium in Stella's castle. They should've given it a better background this is just a silly gradient. I really like the rest of the look of it though.

We see a map in the sky that's the three pillars and we're all yeaaahh happy okay. BUT THERE ARE FIVE STARS DO YOU GUYS NOT SEE THAT THEYRE ALL CONNECTED

ARE WE GONNA HAVE TO DO SOME STUPID STUFF FOR THE LAST TWO WHY DIDNT YOU NOTICE TWO MORE

Tecna takes a picture of it with her phone YOU SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO USE YOUR PHONE IN MAGICAL PLACES ITS JUST NOT RIGHT

Now we're back with Filla who is off recruiting all 100 selkies to help her. Hey there are man selkies. Do you really like all of you and your tiny beams are going to help? You still just have tiny beams.

Bloom's family and some other Gardenia commoners are cleaning up garbage island and that makes Tritannus angry because. He absorbs it all and then he comes up a little hole in it and scares the people but HOW DOES HE JUST FLY THERE

HE IS A MERMAN THEY DONT JUST FLY OKAY

He then turns it into the most generic nonthreatening monster I have ever seen. Then him and the Trix sit there and laugh for like a whole 15 seconds.

We're back with the Winx and it's morning now. Stella's excited to go back to sleep but then Bloom gets a call from her mom about Tritannus attacking Gardenia and they have to go. No sleep for you, Stella.

We transform 2D Sirenix with some new clips that still don't strike me as special. There's something missing from this transformation but I can't place it. Maybe it's that we don't see them actually transforming, just jumping around.

Gaaaaardenia time! The Winx arrive and everyone cheers. Tritannus and his witch-lackeys decide to head out and go for Pillar of Balance next. I guess he likes that one better, why else do that next.

We attack the big monster but nothing happens. FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE THEY JUST TOLD YOU

Yes good they heard me. It took all six of them to make a bubble shield thing? That's kinda sad. I feel like Aisha or Musa could've done that on their own.

The monster throws one hit at it and it reflects it back and that just destroys the monster. That was the weakest monster ever all it took was one not even very big hit.

The selkies are here of course and attack the witches but because all they have is the GENERIC SELKIE BEAM they get sucked into a weird vortex by the enemies. Then they go into the Infinite Ocean.

There's the Winx! WHAT IS THE CRITERIA FOR WEIRD HAIR COLORS IS IT JUST UNDERWATER IN GENERAL I THOUGHT WE WENT UNDERWATER ONCE AND DIDNT HAVE IT STOP bEING RANDOM

We decide saving the selkies is more important than getting Tritannus. We use none other than CONVERGENCE and save them. But we took too long to follow Tritannus so now we just decide to wait for him to show up again. How did they change into their casual clothes I thought we were in our pajamas under Sirenix?!

Next episode preview the Sovereign Council is here. I spy Galatea! And Tritannus also summons the Devourer which is apparently a giant fish to eat the selkies. It looks like the one from the episode we went to Domino.

Overall I'd say I liked this episode better than the early episodes of S5, but I preferred the last two. What did you guys think of it?

Review: Harmonix, as a Transformation

"There's nothing like a magical feeling,
The super me it is revealing,
Winx it's on we totally got this,
Full fairy power let's rock this..."

Hey! It's been a while since my last one of these. Enchantix was back in December.

Now that it's run is over, it's time for Harmonix! Let's get started.

Harmonix is the pre-form to Sirenix-- kind of a temporary state, that they use while earning Sirenix. Struck me as kind of unnecessary, but pretty.

The Designs

The designs of Harmonix are... pretty. When I first saw that one Bloom promotional image I was super excited. I love trains, frills, extra long hair... all that stuff. But when I saw all of the girls together that excitement faded-- the designs were all kinda... the same. They were all pretty, but all super similar.

If I had been shown a no-color version of each just the dress, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. And I probably still couldn't today! I think the Harmonix designs need more individuality, though I do give them points on hair-- that was done really well, they all looked gorgeous.

Though they were very impractical-- I'm sorry, but you don't fight evil in big long trains you could trip on and giant, ribbon heels, that's just not possible. And it seems extremely challenging. Not to mention your giant long hair flowing behind you getting in the way.

So basically... pretty, but kind of bland. If I were the designers at Rainbow I would've gone a different route and changed the dresses to be more different-- given some shorter trains than others, given rouching in different places, given different shapes of skirts and added some different sleeves and stuff. There's a way to do tied together designs without them looking like copies, guys!

The Powers

The powers of Harmonix were better than Believix, but slightly uninteresting. It was mostly the same sparkle beams as Believix-- but with the occasional unique attack, like Bloom's fire shield. I remember once Musa pulled out an odd instrument too.

I'd say this just about sums up Harmonix.
Aisha also had one attack called Thirteenth Seal-- and I still don't understand it. She crossed her arms like an X and an X shaped attack came out. Why is it called the Thirteenth Seal?!

Other than that I can't really think of any special features of Harmonix, other than that it obviously lets you breathe underwater.

With Harmonix we did get Sirenix boxes though, with Sirenix guardians inside. Do they count as a power? Basically they could give you all the advice you'd ever need but in the most useless way possible where it took three days and a trip to the desert to understand it.

The Transformations

The Harmonix transformations had pretty colors and concepts, but they suffered from the same curse of being the same between all the girls. There was no special thing that matched up with their powers-- just the same sparkles and ribbons for everyone. That was disappointing.

No flames for Bloom, no water for Aisha, no flowers for Flora.. just, sparkles. Ribbon.

There were also some awkward poses thrown around in there. Look at Flora's ending pose and you'll know what I mean-- and a few odd angles where you couldn't tell what was happening. See the Musa transforming picture above.

Though they do get credit for cool backgrounds, and the way they did the hair was very nice too. I'm just disappointed in the overall transformations.

The song that went with it was pretty nice-- though impossible to sing. I'm not criticizing it on that, I'm just saying. :P

Overall I'd rate this transformation a total 6.5/10. It was pretty, but the powers weren't anything really special, and the transformations were awkward at times and didn't show the girls' powers. But this is just my opinion.

What do you think of Harmonix?

Review: Season 5, Episode 16: The Eclipse

Sorry guys, no pictures today! Though funfact. I'm listening to a Keke Palmer soundtrack as a write this. It's totally Aisha. Have I mentioned I love Keke Palmer? Just not too much as Aisha.

The title makes it sound like this episode is all about the Pillar of Light and saving it and all... nope.

We start off with Luna taking care of Radius, and she basically tells him that everything is in Stella's hands. Well, that's not a good situation. I wouldn't leave anything in this Season's Stella's hands.

Then we flash into CGI, where we're exactly as we left off. The preview clip, 'The Pledge', happens right there. I didn't post about that one. It was kinda lame. Stella saves Aisha from the falling rock and Flora nature kicks Darcy and Stormy (I didn't know nature had it's own kick.) and then Icy and Tritannus swim away.

We chase after them, but he pulls out his mutant merzombies and we kinda get spooked again. He sends four of them at the girls and then swims away. The selkies have the most kawaii scared look on their faces I have ever seen. Aisha pulls out her Neptune sword and hits two of them, which turns them back into... Nereus and Tressa! As they turn back the other two mutant merzombies run away.

OMG Tressa is a cutie in CGI. Nereus is such a good guy. He's so nice. I like you, Nereus. Stay human. We have a small family reunion and then AISHA GIVES HIM THE SWORD
NO
NO AISHA YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KEEP THE SWORD
NEREUS GIVE IT BACK
NOOO
NOT COOL MAN IT COULDVE BEEN YOURS
HOW ARE YOU EVEN GOING TO SAVE THE REST OF THE MUTANT MERZOMBIES NOW YOU KNOW NEREUS ISNT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO DO IT

After we finish our little family reunion the maybe-man-selkies tell us the pillar is collapsing and that we need to do something. Aisha tries some Morphix on it but it breaks through, and then we try Convergence which for one didn't work! Heeeey! I know this is a show about friendship, but it's nice for once where this generic attack of us all holding hands doesn't work.

Instead Stella has a courageous sun moment and uses all of her power to save the Pillar. I don't know how that works, but hey, it worked right? A seal is gone so we inject 10x more sun into the sun pillar. Got it.

We see how on all the worlds the sun is shining again, and then we head to the Solarian castle. Stella's kinda upset because she doesn't want her family fighting again, and that they only got along because it was a crisis. But then she sucks it up and goes in.

Her family congratulates her a little bit and then Radius decides we need to do something to stop Tritannus. Luna complains that he didn't compliment Stella enough and then they fight. Stella starts crying. Tears don't look good in Flash animation.

We're now at Alfea and the teachers all decide they need to train the Winx to use their Sirenix powers as much as they can since we don't have much time. Why is Sirenix so difficult to master? The other transformations were easy as pie. What the heck, Sirenix. Is this why Daphne turned spirit? Is the curse either put in all your effort to learn it or go spirit?

Stella is crying in her room and Tecna is just sitting there making the most blank expression I have ever seen. I know you are the fairy of technology Tecna but weren't you just complaining that no one realized you had feelings? Gosh darn it this isn't helping. TECNA.

Kiko does some weird tricks that upset Stella even more. Then Bloom gets a phone call and goes to answer it, and it's Sky saying that he wants to meet her at sundown so they can go on a date. Bloom is extremely happy and agrees to go.

Then we get a call from WizGiz who apparently needs help and he's over at Lake Rocalucce. We all agree to race down there.

We then have a creepy moment with holographic kings and I want to know why only the kings of Domino, Eraklyon, Solaria, and Andros are important. There ARE other kings. They have a generic king moment where they fight about how to handle the situation, and then someone decides they need to meet in person because this apparently isn't working. I dunno, I kinda liked seeing my fellow kings in odd colors such as orange, green, and blue.

Now we're on Eraklyon with Diaspro. WHY isn't she banished from the kingdom? She poisoned/mind-controlled Sky in Season 3. How is she still hanging around?! Go away Diaspro!!!! Shoo!!

Sky's dad complains about the lack of Sky in the castle. Get out Sky's dad I never liked you either. He appoints Diaspro weird special kingdom helper I have no idea how to spell whatever it was. Sky's mom thinks it isn't a good idea. WELL OF COURSE IT ISN'T, WHY ARE YOU THE ONLY SMART PERSON AROUND SKY'S MOM.

Now we're down at Lake Rocalucce for WizGiz and he is being held by a weird tentacle pollution monster. Well, I guess that needs help. We transform with some new 2D Sirenix clips that were much better than the previous ones. I hope we eventually get a full transformation.

Bloom shoots some fire at it and it shoots some back at Aisha, who then complains her shield didn't work. WELL NO WONDER IT DIDN'T, FOR SOME REASON THE WINX LOVE TO USE SHIELDS THE SIZE OF THEIR CHESTS. THAT IS NOT GOING TO SHIELD YOU FROM ANYTHING IT'S TINY.

Stella shoots some sun at it and it shoots some back at Musa, who uses a slightly bigger shield but is still knocked down. I think the teachers need to show these girls how to use real shields.

Then it shoots some sun at Stella and she puts up a shield and it gets shot back at it, which apparently hurts it. WizGiz tells us to fight fire with fire, so we direct all of it's attacks into one big net Tecna's making. Tecna also does a weird dance as she controls this net which really doesn't look good in the flash animation.

We then throw the net at the monster and it explodes and WizGiz's hat comes out. Did you get into all this trouble because something took your hat, WizGiz?

He explains that it was all a lesson to help them learn to use their Sirenix powers. That was a dumb lesson. Couldn't stick us in the Magical Reality Chamber instead?

Bloom realizes it's sundown and that she needs to meet Sky so she heads back to Alfea. When she gets there we see Sky waiting outside, and then she walks out from inside Alfea and the most unfitting guitar plays as she approaches Sky.

We have an odd moment that was supposed to be romantic where they talk about how they're gonna walk down the same path they did on their first date, and how the pendant of Eraklyon always makes her think of him. Well gosh darn it it better considering it gave him memory loss.

Our romantic moment ends because Diaspro comes in and demands Sky comes back with her. Sky sadly obeys since she shows off her special Eraklyon badge and then Bloom's sad.

The next episode preview doesn't look very interesting. We just kinda fight a trash monster.

Overall I liked this episode, probably better than the previous one. The title is still really unfitting though, What did you guys think of it?

JustAnotherCrazyWinxFan posts Pop Disco doll images!

Check out his post HERE! http://justanothercrazywinxfan.blogspot.com/2013/02/winx-pop-disco-dolls-and-some-fall-2013.html :)

Okay, I love it. Even though they went an odd direction with this line-- were they really trying to make it accurate? I mean, it's okay if they weren't but. Tecna and Aisha are wearing pants when they're not supposed to be.

I really like Bloom's hairstyle with it. Sleek, long, and beautiful. Her face looks a little odd in these pictures though, not sure why. I bet it'll look better when the dolls actually start showing up in stores though, because right now it looks like they used the Concert face as a base when by the time these are on shelves the City Style face (which is different!!) will be more of the base. Looks like her pants will be the same material as Concert Bloom with Stage's.

I really like this Stella. I think she might be my favorite out of the line. I definitely like her outfit the best and I'd so wear it myself. Do you know how few of the Winx outfits I can say that about??? :P A lot of people are saying her hair looks more golden than usual, and it does... but I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't make it all the way to the shelves. :(

Flora looks really plain to me. I think it's partly the fault of that hairstyle. With her two front things that hairstyle doesn't work because it covers up the sides of her head and looks awkward. Kinda like she's trying to hide in her hair. I really like her shirt though and those shoes are the cutest.

Musa looks a little awkward to me but I think it's probably just the image. The colors look odd though too. On the other hand I LOVE her lighter makeup-- it's like the Believix makeup but on the budget faceprint! Though I'm not fond of those tights. Her hairstyle looks really cute too from what we can see-- it's not a bun, you can see some hair peeking out behind the wing. It's an oddly styled ponytail.

Tecna is such a cutie! She's competing with Stella for the spot as my favorite. Okay, I love the material used on her shirt. Why can't Winx use that whenever they want something shiny?! (cough cough, Believix plz). I also really love her hairstyle. They kept it short while still managing to curl it. (cough cough, Harmonix plz). Too cute.

As much as I love Aisha as a character, she's probably my least favorite of the line. I adored the design from the art and show, but this... isn't it. She needs her big tall socks and shorts! Come on Jakks, don't your love me?! (how often do I say that? I'm starting to think Jakks doesn't love me.) I do love how they did the hair though, it looks like two puffy afros. :P

Overall, to be honest I'm so gonna buy all of these. And for a $12.99 pricetag? Score! I might end up having to customize a couple though. (looking at you, Aisha.)

What do you guys think? Will you buy the line? If so, who out of it? Who's your favorite?

Review: Season 5, Episode 15: The Pillar of Light

Today's episode.. was probably my favorite of Season 5 so far. I'm usually not too big on this season, but this was really enjoyable. Let's get started! (Sorry for the review being a day late.)

We start off with Icy and Tritannus and all that group doing their usual nothing. Tritannus sits on the throne and complains some more then realizes that the legs on it are broken. Woops. I couldn't tell.

He decides he needs the Pillars of Light, Control, and Balance. One of those does not fit in. But hey, whatever.

Now we flash to where we were in earlier this week's preview clip! Yadayada, do all that. Those dragons come out and Bloom tells Stella to use the light of Sirenix. Why not just like, light? The light of Sirenix? Someone explain this to me.

Stella gets nervous and can't do it. We see it is the Magical Reality Chamber instead. Dang it, that wasn't the Pillar of Light! I was wrong.

We come out and everyone's disappointed in Stella. I don't blame them... but I don't blame Stella either. You know what I mean?

We see Bloom and Stella's friendship for a sec. Have I mentioned I really love their friendship? Stella's kinda a brat but they get each other and stuff.

We head back to our dorms and I think Tritannus then went and attacked the Pillar of Light. Some selkies were there guarding it and they all sounded like men. I don't know why. The Pillar of Light is really pretty though! So I put a picture of it.

Meanwhile Aisha is being given the sword of King Neptune which you BETTER USE, Aisha. It's cool keep it use it whenever you can come on. Apparently this family is not mutants, just the cousin family. Okay. Don't touch these Tritannus.

I don't see how a tiny seal gem like that is going to serve as a leg to a tall chair but okay. I guess that works. Darcy and Stormy complain a bit more about their lack of a role in this quartet and I don't really blame them. Stop ignoring characters Rainbow!!

We're back to Alfea! We're all just kinda sitting their in out dorm contemplating how to not hurt Aisha's mutant cousins. We call for Stella's Sirenix Guardian (doesn't her guardian like, hate her? after she asked for opinions on fashion designs or something?) and she gives us the most useless answer ever. I don't even remember but it was some BS like let the light shine through. Then it throws sparkles everywhere which is somehow impressive. We use sparkle beams every day Winx, why is this not normal for you.

Then we realize there's no sun coming into our room! We go outside and see there's an eclipse because Tritannus took the seal off the Pillar of Light. Everyone's just kinda crowding outside to stare at it and Faragonda's out there too. Stella asks what's happening (isn't it obvious?? haven't you seen an eclipse before Stella?? wait never mind, she lives on the planet where it's always sunny there must be no eclipses there)

We flash over to Stella's kingdom! Stella's mom is looking panicked and running into the castle. Yay Stella's mom! I love her design. We head in there and King Radius is the biggest jerk ever wow. He just keeps being mean to Luna and warming himself in front of the second sun of Solaria.

He won't take her help even though she's worried about him and he keeps saying the second sun will keep him warm. Well you know what, it didn't.

Radius faints and falls on the floor and Stella's mom goes and tries to help him and yells for help. Is it just me or is Radius more jerk-y and more muscly this season? I remember him being somehow less fit and nicer. What fit mean man he is this season.

We're back at Alfea and we all decide to head over to Solaria to check things out, make sure Stella's dad's okay and stuff. We arrived and we see Stella's mom who tells Stella that her dad is sick and fell over and stuff. We all agree to go to the Infinite Ocean and I forgot to say Aisha called everyone and told them that she thought it was coming from Tritannus over there.

So we transform in.. 3d? I DONT GET THE CRITERIA FOR 3D/2D TRANSFORMATION WHY

Well we get to the infinite ocean it tries to trick me into thinking that yes, we will have our normal hair colors but nope a second later weird colors. WHY.

The selkies come as always. Why do they just hang out in this ocean? Don't they have gates to guard? We've seen them here like twice now!

We get into a pretty average fight with Tritannus who apprently is just now finally defeating the weird selkie guards from earlier. There must've been like 500 of them if it took that long, wow man.

As we fight he sends out his mutant merzombies which alarms Aisha again. She says we can't hurt them but Stella comes in anyway and uses the light of Sirenix which apparently this experience has given her the power to do. Okay. The merzombies got pushed back and.. sucked into a vortex thing if I remember right?? What happened to them?? What? I don't get it!!!

Bloom gets ready to super attack Tritannus and lights on fire and stuff. Icy sees her starting to and jumps in front of Tritannus and takes the attack herself. Why Icy?!? You're better then that!! Come on!! Don't die for him!

Well. She floated to the ground. Did she get knocked out or die? I'm a little confused. Then again. When aren't I.

Tritannus freaks out (I guess he really does like her?) and spouts some mutant power. Then he goes over to the Pillar of Light and stabs it, making rocks fall everywhere. And oh no-- the episode ends as one's about to fall on Aisha!!

But then the next episode preview shows Stella shooting it away. What the heck, episode preview. You ruined the cliffhanger. Looks like next episode we're doing more Pillar of Light stuff and if I remember right, looking for a way to save Aisha's family and turn them back into people.

Overall I really liked this episode.. even if it doesn't seem like it. Sorry if my review was kinda boring today. I'm tired. :P Thanks for reading! Tune in next week for the next episode!

Also, btw, I heard that for Emperor's Throne we only got .8 million views. Or was it 1.3? Not sure if either is true or not, but if it is, that's NOT stellar. We need to kick that up guys. If it keeps going at this rate Winx could be in big trouble.. so if you live in America, tune in when it airs! Please!

Review: Jakks Pacific: Harmonix Aisha Doll

So yesterday I decided to drop by ToysRUs on a whim. I wasn't really expecting them to have anything since it was a while since they last restocked, but to my surprise.. they had the entire Harmonix line! Minus Musa and Tecna, of course.

So I happily got Aisha, and I think I might go back and get Flora sometime this weekend. Reviewing these Harmonix dolls is getting a little hard though-- they all have such similar outfits, it's a challenge to think of unique things to say about them each! But I'll give it my best.

(Also, sorry there's no full-body picture with this review. I did take one, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't upload it. I was able to upload the rest though!)

So let's start at the shoes. They're pretty nice! The same mold as Stella and Bloom's, and they change from Morphix purple to the green color of her train. There's glitter molded into them. I don't know if it's just luck or what, but they've stayed up on her legs better then Stella and Bloom's did. Also, just noticing this mold has stars and hearts all over it. Come ooooon, let that just be for Bloom and Stella.

This is her dress! I think it's my favorite so far. Stella's was really plain and while I liked Bloom's, there was something missing. I think Aisha's is the most complete and nice looking. On her skirt there's an underlayer which I think you can see, it's a blue color, with a hint of green. On top she's got a bunch of little green... hmm, there's a word for those. Fishnet? Kind of. Not sure how to describe it, but I think you see what I mean. It's stiff and has a ton of little holes in it. And sparkles! her skirt has a whole lot of those on it.

I still don't know who decided giving all of the girls the exact same purple belt would be a great idea, but whatever. Getting a little tired of seeing it. It's... the same as it was the last two times.

The shirt has that same stiff feel that I complained about with Stella's. It's a nice pastel green, really close to the show. Have I mentioned how much I adore the way Jakks is doing the Harmonix dolls' outfits? While they're all pretty similar, they are like that in the show, and unlike Simba they're actually trying to make it look like you see in the show.

It has one little blue strip sewn on which is the same material as Musa's Believix pants. I love that material. I wish they'd use it whenever they needed anything sparkly.

It also has that one little frill that I didn't photograph very well. It seems a little inconvenient but whatever. It's a doll, not a human.

These are her wings! Personally I think they're my favorite Harmonix wings so far. Look at the colors! It's like... an unnaturally colorful ocean! And all those little oval things that who knows what are supposed to be. But they're pretty!!

Mine's wings actually spilled the mold I think. You know those pink heart clips on the back? One runs out of the heart and onto her wing. Woops. Guess I won't be removing those wings from their slips anytime soon! Oh well. Wasn't planning on it anyway.

Okay, so to be honest, whenever I've seen this doll in pictures she's struck me as pretty lackluster. The main reason I wanted to get her is because.. well, I'm collecting almost all the Jakks dolls, and I love her in Season 5. Not because this doll seemed extra special or anything.

Boy was I wrong! She is gorgeous-- probably my favorite of the Harmonix line so far! I thought her makeup was a little overdone in pictures but in person I think it's perfect. Just look! It's a gorgeous blue that's around the shade of the blue part on her shirt. And her lipstick is a nice purple-y color!

I also love her crown. I've always loved circlets, personally more then tiaras! It's so cool to have one on a doll. If only it came with a "Circlet for you!" (No. That'd be terrible. Scratch that.)

Her hair actually isn't half bad, either! I was expecting some frizzy ratty mess. It's much nicer then that though, take a look!

It's really dark, so I'm not sure if you can see or not. If you can't, try standing up and looking at your monitor from higher up, that always makes everything lighter. But like, that giant shape? That's not frizz or rats, that's giant curls. I love it!

Not sure if you can see or not, but looking at this picture and the last one you might be able to see her hairstyle. It's really cool, and I'm not even sure how they did it. It's like they did that thing where you pull back two pieces on the sides and tie them together, but along with twisting the hair in her part and adding it in there too. It's amazing, and really cool!

Though I definitely wouldn't recommend brushing it. Sorry, but I can already tell if you did you'd end up seeing the horror of Believix Bloom's hair. Just leave it like this and you'll be good though!

It's not the reddish brown color of the show, it's more of a natural dark, dark brown (almost black.) But I don't really mind, I think I like it better actually. It looks gorgeous with the greens of her outfit.

I  really like this doll! Overall I'd probably rate her... 9/10. The only con of these Harmonix dolls is that they're all pretty the same. Once you have one, you'll know what to expect with the other five. Their faces however are all super different, and that (at least to me) makes up for it.

What do you guys think of this doll? Do you plan to buy her? Who's your favorite of the line?

Also, if you guys didn't see, I added some more categories to the blog! Doll Reviews and Episode Reviews. So you guys can choose what you want to look through. Of course, everything will show up on the main page though. Including stuff that isn't Doll Reviews or Episode Reviews. I just did those two since they're my main things.

I also want to have one for general opinions.. kinda like What Happened, Winx Club? And The Dubs of Winx Club. What should I call that? I can't decide.

New Preview Clip: Coral Sea Mayhem

 Uploaded by MagixJourney! :)

Okay, so... where's Aisha?! I love Aisha, where'd you go girl?! Why aren't you in this preview clip. You're gonna make me cry.

What was that we're not all nature fairies like Flora. Why'd we all just join together and automatically know where to go. Didn't we like, super struggle with that in Season 1? Come oooon, at least call it the voice of nature.

Those turning shots were kinda super creepy.

That's an odd path. The path of light! Huh. I guess it works. Wait... the Pillar of Light! Whoa!

Why are we going faster Tecna? All that happened was we heard a noise. Unless I missed something. Hey, those dragons look like Heartless from Kingdom Hearts! I like that.

That was a pretty average clip. I'm bitter there was no Aisha. And why'd nature tell us where to go. But the KH dragons were sweet. I am looking forward to this week's episode more though... this'll be cool! Hopefully Stella won't be too much of a brat. Maybe since it's supposed to focus on her it'll give her a chance to grow up a bit, especially since we had that thing in the last episode-- it could help lead up to her growing up.

Review: Season 5, Episode 14: The Emperor's Throne

Hey, haven't had a post like this in a while! It's about time for another episode review. I hope you all watched the new episode today so ratings will get higher. Because we all know what happens to a show with bad ratings...

Anyway. Let's not think about that. Let's get started!

So the episode starts with the girls relaxing at Gardenia beach, and Bloom feeding soda to Kiko. Okay, I'm not rabbit expert, but it doesn't seem safe to feed your rabbit soda. But. Whatever. Bloom won't come crying to me when her rabbit gets some sort of health problem.

We have some casual, generic girly moments as we kinda loiter around the beach, talking about how we're so excited to go swimming. But then... oh no, more pollution! (Okay, I know Earth is really polluted in real life. But we do not have tons of general trash floating around everywhere. I know I haven't been to the beach in a while, but come on.) Our perfect day has been ruined.

So we recruit the entire population of the beach to help us clean it up. You know, while they did this I noticed that Winx Club's background characters actually have different body types. That's really nice that not everyone looks like the super-skinny stick thin Winx. Stella zaps gloves on to everyone and everyone acts like it's the most amazing thing they've ever experienced. ..they're just gloves, man. Not even pretty gloves.

I don't like Matt Shively as Sky.

We then zap into CGI, where Icy, Tritannus, Darcy, and Stormy are all hanging out in the Infinite Ocean, finding the Emperor's Throne. There was this ONE line, the worst line. I don't even remember it, but I think Stormy was like "what's gonna happen when you find it?" and Tritannus responded back with "Everything!"

What a line, Tritannus. Nick's writing team... what are you doing? He also went on this really awkward rant about how everything will happen and he'll smash all.

So he tries to sit in it, and nothing happens. He does it again, nothing happens. He hits it with some toxic power or something and it sends this giant burst of lighning at him that HAD to have been meant to be comic relief because he then fell literally like 50 stories and splatted on the ground. It also apparently sucked all the toxins out of him and he turned into normal merman. Please stay that way, Tritannus. But of course, nope. They decide to go to Earth to get some more pollution so he can resume his mutant activites.

We're back on Earth now with the Winx, and we've just finished picking up all the trash on the beach. Stella gets the best idea ever and decides to make a line of biodegradable clothing. (Wait, doesn't that already exist?) So she go races off to make some and literally like twenty seconds later we see Brandon on a runway announcing Stella's new designs.

Stella, that's not how you do biodegradable. And how'd you come up with this in twenty seconds?

Everyone laughs at her and Kiko eats her dress. Why did she think vege-dress would be a good idea? Stella, bby.

So she cries and runs off. Brandon goes and finds her. (she somehow managed to get back into her beach attire and beach hairstyle in twenty seconds... man Stella, you're Sonic fast this episode.) She complains that no one likes her designs, and Brandon tries to comfort her but ends up saying that everything she makes is impractical and inconvenient. She then asks if he thinks that too, and he says yes. Okay Brandon, I know it's true, but way to comfort your girlfriend. You seem to have forgotten she's now mentally nine and can't take this kind of criticism. As you can tell, I'm slightly frustrated. Stella storms off upset and goes back to join the Winx.

So now we're back at the beach, and it's trashed-up again. We find out there's some island in the middle of the ocean that's creating all the pollution and we head there. Of course, when we arrive, Tritannus is already there. Tritannus makes me uncomfortable.

We get there, and there's this giant tornado they're making to suck up all the pollution. We get pulled in to kind of get us off their backs and we just kinda struggle and fly around in there until we all manage to grab hands and use ~CONVERGENCE~. Have I mentioned I'm starting to hate Congergence? I know team work, blah blah blah is important, but we're using it so often and not even in the way we were supposed to. When we first learned it in Season 2 it was about each girl putting in something special-- and when they tried using it like they do now, it backfired. But nope. Now it's just throw all the powers together and everything will be better.

Whatever, at least 2D Sirenix is cute. Tritannus and the Trix run off and we dive underwater after them. Oh boy, so these new hair colors are here to stay. It used to just be when we were in the infinite ocean they'd change colors. Nope nope nope, just all water now. If I had that power I'd so just get like the bottom half of my hair wet all the time and be multi-colored. Also, do you see how long Musa's hair is in that screencap I took. What the heck, animators. I know it wasn't that long before.

So we go into the infinite ocean, and follow them! We eventually catch up and the selkies just come in because why not. They lend us some power and we attack Tritannus, who he and the Trix are surprised we have Sirenix and that we can enter the Infinite Ocean. What were you expecting, guys? Didn't you see us with Sirenix when you hurled us into a tornado?

But then he pulls out his mutant merzombies which severlely upset us because he starts talking about how they're Queen Ligeia, Tressa, Neptune, and Nereus, and I think Aisha's family but some people were making noise in the other room when he was talking about this so I might have missed something. We decide not to attack them because they're people we know. Okay, so I hope the Winx recognize now that we're in a situation where we can't go after Tritannus until we find out how to reverse the spell on the mutant merzombies, because he's just gonna keep pulling them out. Please don't just blindly go after him, Winx. Be smart.

He gets away and we go back to Earth, where everyone at Gardenia Beach agrees to go and clean up that trash island. How do they plan to get there? They can't fly, and there's nowhere to dock with a boat, it's too small. I don't get it, but whatever it's the thought that counts.

Aisha has a moment where she gets sad about her family. Can we focus on that instead please? It's much more interesting then the beach that this is what-- the third time we've tried to save this episode?

Next episode preview-- Aisha is given Neptune's sword from her dad. (Wait, I thought her family got turned into mutants. Someone explain this to me, I'm confused.) PLEASE Aisha, carry that around and just use it as your weapon this whole Season. I wanted you to take over Nabu's staff and you didn't, and I wanted Stella to take over that gigantic shield but she didn't, so you have to do this. Come oooooon.

Also, Tritannus messes with the Pillar of Light which is connected to Stella's dad's life force. No, don't die Stella's dad. I like you. Please. And we see Stella's mom for the first time in person! So excited, I love Luna's design! I think the only times we've seen her are in that S1 dream Stella had, and in some artwork that was unlockable in the Mission Enchantix DS game. Love her!

What did you think of this episode? Are you excited for the rest of Season 5? Be sure to tune in next week for the next episode!
