Review: Jakks Pacific: City Fashions Stella Doll

I found her at Walgreens! And yeah, she had an $11 price tag. Lame! But I can't resist a new Stella so I uh. Came home with her anyway. And now that I have both her and Bloom I'm just missing Flora. So I need to get Flora. Woops. I just can't stop buying these dolls!

I also got a Harmonix Flora earlier last week at TRU, but I'm gonna review her next. Didn't want to review two Harmonix dolls in a row since they're so similar. So let's get started.

Sorry for the sucky lighting on my photos. Don't know what exactly went wrong, but whatever.
This is the doll! She's kinda plain, but I really like her. Simple and cute, you know what I mean? I may customize her outfit eventually though to make it look like it does in the show.

She has the same unarticulated body as Bloom. No knee posability or anything. Not like these dolls were super posable in the first place though, so I don't really miss it.

Remember that awful bent leg thing I had on Bloom? It's much less bad on Stella, in fact I didn't really notice it. It's still there a little bit, but not really.

Let's look at the shoes.

Her shoes are a recolor of the ones from her Speedix fashion pack, but instead of yellow, they're pink. I like them! They're kind of odd but in a stylish way. If that makes sense. It probably doesn't.

One of the heels is bent slightly though because of poor packaging.

This is her dress! I know it's plain, but I like it. It has two clear plastic straps holding it up. I think it's close enough to the actual show to be considered accurate-- all it's missing is the stars and polka dots. The fabric's really soft too, though it looks odd in certain pictures. The pink band is only on the front, not on the back, and is a ribbon that's been sewn on.

That little fold in her dress near her hips is almost always there, no matter how I pose her. It's a little odd looking but I don't mind it much. It's like Stella rammed into a table or something and it left a dent on her dress. (Okay, maybe that wasn't the best comparison?)

I like that it's not super short. She can sit and her underwear won't show. It goes midway down her thighs, and I know that sounds short, but that's just because Winx thighs in general are super long. Of course anything sounds short on them.

This is her hair, from the back obviously. It was cut much better than Bloom's, and I didn't have to trim it at all to get it to look this way. Bloom's was cut diagonally, it was odd. Messy factory job. But Stella's is much better!

It's super soft and sleek. A little short for a doll, but I like it. It might be nicer with some layering or something but eh, I'm okay with it how it is.

This is her face! Okay, this is the fangirl part for me. As I've mentioned many times before, I adore the faces on this line. They are the perfect Winx doll faces, and I wish they used them more! Come on Jakks, don't you love me?! I review your dolls!

It's like they smashed together Believix and Concert. She has the double-eyelashes like Concert, but the shape of her eyes is the same as Believix's (except maybe a tad shorter.) They made the perfect face! Yet they've only ever used it once! Stella's Design Studio doesn't even have it-- she has a Concert face with this makeup. It's odd.

Her lips are much bigger and thicker than other Stella's. I love it. And her eyebrows aren't tiny little strips on her face. They're actually there.

You can also see her hairstyle from the front in this picture. It's the same as Bloom's-- but it's parted to the right, when Bloom's was parted to the left. It has two hairsprayed parts in the front that are a little shorter than the rest of her hair.

Personally, while I really like this doll, I don't think she hits the $10.99 price she's sold at. Maybe for $8.99 she'd be good, but I think it's overpaying a bit. Then again.. it's obviously not too high priced, or else I wouldn't have bought it!

I'd rate her a 7/10 overall. It'd be lower.. but I love this face too much. But the outfit and hair bring it down to a lower score.

What do you think of her? Would you buy her? Who do you like better in the line, her or Bloom?

Also, still looking for suggestions on what to call a General Opinions section on my tabs! (See where it says Home, About Me, My Episode Reviews, and My Doll Reviews? I need something to call my General Opinions!)

And I just noticed, my blog's hit 30,000 page views! Thank you so much you guys! I never thought I'd be this successful! Really all this blog is is my complaining... but hey, I guess you guys like it! Thanks for reading! :)

Review: Season 5, Episode 15: The Pillar of Light

Today's episode.. was probably my favorite of Season 5 so far. I'm usually not too big on this season, but this was really enjoyable. Let's get started! (Sorry for the review being a day late.)

We start off with Icy and Tritannus and all that group doing their usual nothing. Tritannus sits on the throne and complains some more then realizes that the legs on it are broken. Woops. I couldn't tell.

He decides he needs the Pillars of Light, Control, and Balance. One of those does not fit in. But hey, whatever.

Now we flash to where we were in earlier this week's preview clip! Yadayada, do all that. Those dragons come out and Bloom tells Stella to use the light of Sirenix. Why not just like, light? The light of Sirenix? Someone explain this to me.

Stella gets nervous and can't do it. We see it is the Magical Reality Chamber instead. Dang it, that wasn't the Pillar of Light! I was wrong.

We come out and everyone's disappointed in Stella. I don't blame them... but I don't blame Stella either. You know what I mean?

We see Bloom and Stella's friendship for a sec. Have I mentioned I really love their friendship? Stella's kinda a brat but they get each other and stuff.

We head back to our dorms and I think Tritannus then went and attacked the Pillar of Light. Some selkies were there guarding it and they all sounded like men. I don't know why. The Pillar of Light is really pretty though! So I put a picture of it.

Meanwhile Aisha is being given the sword of King Neptune which you BETTER USE, Aisha. It's cool keep it use it whenever you can come on. Apparently this family is not mutants, just the cousin family. Okay. Don't touch these Tritannus.

I don't see how a tiny seal gem like that is going to serve as a leg to a tall chair but okay. I guess that works. Darcy and Stormy complain a bit more about their lack of a role in this quartet and I don't really blame them. Stop ignoring characters Rainbow!!

We're back to Alfea! We're all just kinda sitting their in out dorm contemplating how to not hurt Aisha's mutant cousins. We call for Stella's Sirenix Guardian (doesn't her guardian like, hate her? after she asked for opinions on fashion designs or something?) and she gives us the most useless answer ever. I don't even remember but it was some BS like let the light shine through. Then it throws sparkles everywhere which is somehow impressive. We use sparkle beams every day Winx, why is this not normal for you.

Then we realize there's no sun coming into our room! We go outside and see there's an eclipse because Tritannus took the seal off the Pillar of Light. Everyone's just kinda crowding outside to stare at it and Faragonda's out there too. Stella asks what's happening (isn't it obvious?? haven't you seen an eclipse before Stella?? wait never mind, she lives on the planet where it's always sunny there must be no eclipses there)

We flash over to Stella's kingdom! Stella's mom is looking panicked and running into the castle. Yay Stella's mom! I love her design. We head in there and King Radius is the biggest jerk ever wow. He just keeps being mean to Luna and warming himself in front of the second sun of Solaria.

He won't take her help even though she's worried about him and he keeps saying the second sun will keep him warm. Well you know what, it didn't.

Radius faints and falls on the floor and Stella's mom goes and tries to help him and yells for help. Is it just me or is Radius more jerk-y and more muscly this season? I remember him being somehow less fit and nicer. What fit mean man he is this season.

We're back at Alfea and we all decide to head over to Solaria to check things out, make sure Stella's dad's okay and stuff. We arrived and we see Stella's mom who tells Stella that her dad is sick and fell over and stuff. We all agree to go to the Infinite Ocean and I forgot to say Aisha called everyone and told them that she thought it was coming from Tritannus over there.

So we transform in.. 3d? I DONT GET THE CRITERIA FOR 3D/2D TRANSFORMATION WHY

Well we get to the infinite ocean it tries to trick me into thinking that yes, we will have our normal hair colors but nope a second later weird colors. WHY.

The selkies come as always. Why do they just hang out in this ocean? Don't they have gates to guard? We've seen them here like twice now!

We get into a pretty average fight with Tritannus who apprently is just now finally defeating the weird selkie guards from earlier. There must've been like 500 of them if it took that long, wow man.

As we fight he sends out his mutant merzombies which alarms Aisha again. She says we can't hurt them but Stella comes in anyway and uses the light of Sirenix which apparently this experience has given her the power to do. Okay. The merzombies got pushed back and.. sucked into a vortex thing if I remember right?? What happened to them?? What? I don't get it!!!

Bloom gets ready to super attack Tritannus and lights on fire and stuff. Icy sees her starting to and jumps in front of Tritannus and takes the attack herself. Why Icy?!? You're better then that!! Come on!! Don't die for him!

Well. She floated to the ground. Did she get knocked out or die? I'm a little confused. Then again. When aren't I.

Tritannus freaks out (I guess he really does like her?) and spouts some mutant power. Then he goes over to the Pillar of Light and stabs it, making rocks fall everywhere. And oh no-- the episode ends as one's about to fall on Aisha!!

But then the next episode preview shows Stella shooting it away. What the heck, episode preview. You ruined the cliffhanger. Looks like next episode we're doing more Pillar of Light stuff and if I remember right, looking for a way to save Aisha's family and turn them back into people.

Overall I really liked this episode.. even if it doesn't seem like it. Sorry if my review was kinda boring today. I'm tired. :P Thanks for reading! Tune in next week for the next episode!

Also, btw, I heard that for Emperor's Throne we only got .8 million views. Or was it 1.3? Not sure if either is true or not, but if it is, that's NOT stellar. We need to kick that up guys. If it keeps going at this rate Winx could be in big trouble.. so if you live in America, tune in when it airs! Please!

Review: Jakks Pacific: Harmonix Aisha Doll

So yesterday I decided to drop by ToysRUs on a whim. I wasn't really expecting them to have anything since it was a while since they last restocked, but to my surprise.. they had the entire Harmonix line! Minus Musa and Tecna, of course.

So I happily got Aisha, and I think I might go back and get Flora sometime this weekend. Reviewing these Harmonix dolls is getting a little hard though-- they all have such similar outfits, it's a challenge to think of unique things to say about them each! But I'll give it my best.

(Also, sorry there's no full-body picture with this review. I did take one, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't upload it. I was able to upload the rest though!)

So let's start at the shoes. They're pretty nice! The same mold as Stella and Bloom's, and they change from Morphix purple to the green color of her train. There's glitter molded into them. I don't know if it's just luck or what, but they've stayed up on her legs better then Stella and Bloom's did. Also, just noticing this mold has stars and hearts all over it. Come ooooon, let that just be for Bloom and Stella.

This is her dress! I think it's my favorite so far. Stella's was really plain and while I liked Bloom's, there was something missing. I think Aisha's is the most complete and nice looking. On her skirt there's an underlayer which I think you can see, it's a blue color, with a hint of green. On top she's got a bunch of little green... hmm, there's a word for those. Fishnet? Kind of. Not sure how to describe it, but I think you see what I mean. It's stiff and has a ton of little holes in it. And sparkles! her skirt has a whole lot of those on it.

I still don't know who decided giving all of the girls the exact same purple belt would be a great idea, but whatever. Getting a little tired of seeing it. It's... the same as it was the last two times.

The shirt has that same stiff feel that I complained about with Stella's. It's a nice pastel green, really close to the show. Have I mentioned how much I adore the way Jakks is doing the Harmonix dolls' outfits? While they're all pretty similar, they are like that in the show, and unlike Simba they're actually trying to make it look like you see in the show.

It has one little blue strip sewn on which is the same material as Musa's Believix pants. I love that material. I wish they'd use it whenever they needed anything sparkly.

It also has that one little frill that I didn't photograph very well. It seems a little inconvenient but whatever. It's a doll, not a human.

These are her wings! Personally I think they're my favorite Harmonix wings so far. Look at the colors! It's like... an unnaturally colorful ocean! And all those little oval things that who knows what are supposed to be. But they're pretty!!

Mine's wings actually spilled the mold I think. You know those pink heart clips on the back? One runs out of the heart and onto her wing. Woops. Guess I won't be removing those wings from their slips anytime soon! Oh well. Wasn't planning on it anyway.

Okay, so to be honest, whenever I've seen this doll in pictures she's struck me as pretty lackluster. The main reason I wanted to get her is because.. well, I'm collecting almost all the Jakks dolls, and I love her in Season 5. Not because this doll seemed extra special or anything.

Boy was I wrong! She is gorgeous-- probably my favorite of the Harmonix line so far! I thought her makeup was a little overdone in pictures but in person I think it's perfect. Just look! It's a gorgeous blue that's around the shade of the blue part on her shirt. And her lipstick is a nice purple-y color!

I also love her crown. I've always loved circlets, personally more then tiaras! It's so cool to have one on a doll. If only it came with a "Circlet for you!" (No. That'd be terrible. Scratch that.)

Her hair actually isn't half bad, either! I was expecting some frizzy ratty mess. It's much nicer then that though, take a look!

It's really dark, so I'm not sure if you can see or not. If you can't, try standing up and looking at your monitor from higher up, that always makes everything lighter. But like, that giant shape? That's not frizz or rats, that's giant curls. I love it!

Not sure if you can see or not, but looking at this picture and the last one you might be able to see her hairstyle. It's really cool, and I'm not even sure how they did it. It's like they did that thing where you pull back two pieces on the sides and tie them together, but along with twisting the hair in her part and adding it in there too. It's amazing, and really cool!

Though I definitely wouldn't recommend brushing it. Sorry, but I can already tell if you did you'd end up seeing the horror of Believix Bloom's hair. Just leave it like this and you'll be good though!

It's not the reddish brown color of the show, it's more of a natural dark, dark brown (almost black.) But I don't really mind, I think I like it better actually. It looks gorgeous with the greens of her outfit.

I  really like this doll! Overall I'd probably rate her... 9/10. The only con of these Harmonix dolls is that they're all pretty the same. Once you have one, you'll know what to expect with the other five. Their faces however are all super different, and that (at least to me) makes up for it.

What do you guys think of this doll? Do you plan to buy her? Who's your favorite of the line?

Also, if you guys didn't see, I added some more categories to the blog! Doll Reviews and Episode Reviews. So you guys can choose what you want to look through. Of course, everything will show up on the main page though. Including stuff that isn't Doll Reviews or Episode Reviews. I just did those two since they're my main things.

I also want to have one for general opinions.. kinda like What Happened, Winx Club? And The Dubs of Winx Club. What should I call that? I can't decide.

New Preview Clip: Coral Sea Mayhem

 Uploaded by MagixJourney! :)

Okay, so... where's Aisha?! I love Aisha, where'd you go girl?! Why aren't you in this preview clip. You're gonna make me cry.

What was that we're not all nature fairies like Flora. Why'd we all just join together and automatically know where to go. Didn't we like, super struggle with that in Season 1? Come oooon, at least call it the voice of nature.

Those turning shots were kinda super creepy.

That's an odd path. The path of light! Huh. I guess it works. Wait... the Pillar of Light! Whoa!

Why are we going faster Tecna? All that happened was we heard a noise. Unless I missed something. Hey, those dragons look like Heartless from Kingdom Hearts! I like that.

That was a pretty average clip. I'm bitter there was no Aisha. And why'd nature tell us where to go. But the KH dragons were sweet. I am looking forward to this week's episode more though... this'll be cool! Hopefully Stella won't be too much of a brat. Maybe since it's supposed to focus on her it'll give her a chance to grow up a bit, especially since we had that thing in the last episode-- it could help lead up to her growing up.

What did you guys think?

Review: Season 5, Episode 14: The Emperor's Throne

Hey, haven't had a post like this in a while! It's about time for another episode review. I hope you all watched the new episode today so ratings will get higher. Because we all know what happens to a show with bad ratings...

Anyway. Let's not think about that. Let's get started!

So the episode starts with the girls relaxing at Gardenia beach, and Bloom feeding soda to Kiko. Okay, I'm not rabbit expert, but it doesn't seem safe to feed your rabbit soda. But. Whatever. Bloom won't come crying to me when her rabbit gets some sort of health problem.

We have some casual, generic girly moments as we kinda loiter around the beach, talking about how we're so excited to go swimming. But then... oh no, more pollution! (Okay, I know Earth is really polluted in real life. But we do not have tons of general trash floating around everywhere. I know I haven't been to the beach in a while, but come on.) Our perfect day has been ruined.

So we recruit the entire population of the beach to help us clean it up. You know, while they did this I noticed that Winx Club's background characters actually have different body types. That's really nice that not everyone looks like the super-skinny stick thin Winx. Stella zaps gloves on to everyone and everyone acts like it's the most amazing thing they've ever experienced. ..they're just gloves, man. Not even pretty gloves.

I don't like Matt Shively as Sky.

We then zap into CGI, where Icy, Tritannus, Darcy, and Stormy are all hanging out in the Infinite Ocean, finding the Emperor's Throne. There was this ONE line, the worst line. I don't even remember it, but I think Stormy was like "what's gonna happen when you find it?" and Tritannus responded back with "Everything!"

What a line, Tritannus. Nick's writing team... what are you doing? He also went on this really awkward rant about how everything will happen and he'll smash all.

So he tries to sit in it, and nothing happens. He does it again, nothing happens. He hits it with some toxic power or something and it sends this giant burst of lighning at him that HAD to have been meant to be comic relief because he then fell literally like 50 stories and splatted on the ground. It also apparently sucked all the toxins out of him and he turned into normal merman. Please stay that way, Tritannus. But of course, nope. They decide to go to Earth to get some more pollution so he can resume his mutant activites.

We're back on Earth now with the Winx, and we've just finished picking up all the trash on the beach. Stella gets the best idea ever and decides to make a line of biodegradable clothing. (Wait, doesn't that already exist?) So she go races off to make some and literally like twenty seconds later we see Brandon on a runway announcing Stella's new designs.

Stella, that's not how you do biodegradable. And how'd you come up with this in twenty seconds?

Everyone laughs at her and Kiko eats her dress. Why did she think vege-dress would be a good idea? Stella, bby.

So she cries and runs off. Brandon goes and finds her. (she somehow managed to get back into her beach attire and beach hairstyle in twenty seconds... man Stella, you're Sonic fast this episode.) She complains that no one likes her designs, and Brandon tries to comfort her but ends up saying that everything she makes is impractical and inconvenient. She then asks if he thinks that too, and he says yes. Okay Brandon, I know it's true, but way to comfort your girlfriend. You seem to have forgotten she's now mentally nine and can't take this kind of criticism. As you can tell, I'm slightly frustrated. Stella storms off upset and goes back to join the Winx.

So now we're back at the beach, and it's trashed-up again. We find out there's some island in the middle of the ocean that's creating all the pollution and we head there. Of course, when we arrive, Tritannus is already there. Tritannus makes me uncomfortable.

We get there, and there's this giant tornado they're making to suck up all the pollution. We get pulled in to kind of get us off their backs and we just kinda struggle and fly around in there until we all manage to grab hands and use ~CONVERGENCE~. Have I mentioned I'm starting to hate Congergence? I know team work, blah blah blah is important, but we're using it so often and not even in the way we were supposed to. When we first learned it in Season 2 it was about each girl putting in something special-- and when they tried using it like they do now, it backfired. But nope. Now it's just throw all the powers together and everything will be better.

Whatever, at least 2D Sirenix is cute. Tritannus and the Trix run off and we dive underwater after them. Oh boy, so these new hair colors are here to stay. It used to just be when we were in the infinite ocean they'd change colors. Nope nope nope, just all water now. If I had that power I'd so just get like the bottom half of my hair wet all the time and be multi-colored. Also, do you see how long Musa's hair is in that screencap I took. What the heck, animators. I know it wasn't that long before.

So we go into the infinite ocean, and follow them! We eventually catch up and the selkies just come in because why not. They lend us some power and we attack Tritannus, who he and the Trix are surprised we have Sirenix and that we can enter the Infinite Ocean. What were you expecting, guys? Didn't you see us with Sirenix when you hurled us into a tornado?

But then he pulls out his mutant merzombies which severlely upset us because he starts talking about how they're Queen Ligeia, Tressa, Neptune, and Nereus, and I think Aisha's family but some people were making noise in the other room when he was talking about this so I might have missed something. We decide not to attack them because they're people we know. Okay, so I hope the Winx recognize now that we're in a situation where we can't go after Tritannus until we find out how to reverse the spell on the mutant merzombies, because he's just gonna keep pulling them out. Please don't just blindly go after him, Winx. Be smart.

He gets away and we go back to Earth, where everyone at Gardenia Beach agrees to go and clean up that trash island. How do they plan to get there? They can't fly, and there's nowhere to dock with a boat, it's too small. I don't get it, but whatever it's the thought that counts.

Aisha has a moment where she gets sad about her family. Can we focus on that instead please? It's much more interesting then the beach that this is what-- the third time we've tried to save this episode?

Next episode preview-- Aisha is given Neptune's sword from her dad. (Wait, I thought her family got turned into mutants. Someone explain this to me, I'm confused.) PLEASE Aisha, carry that around and just use it as your weapon this whole Season. I wanted you to take over Nabu's staff and you didn't, and I wanted Stella to take over that gigantic shield but she didn't, so you have to do this. Come oooooon.

Also, Tritannus messes with the Pillar of Light which is connected to Stella's dad's life force. No, don't die Stella's dad. I like you. Please. And we see Stella's mom for the first time in person! So excited, I love Luna's design! I think the only times we've seen her are in that S1 dream Stella had, and in some artwork that was unlockable in the Mission Enchantix DS game. Love her!

What did you think of this episode? Are you excited for the rest of Season 5? Be sure to tune in next week for the next episode!

TimeToPlay Shows Sirenix Prototypes at Toy Fair

Eek!! Super amazing, and just when I started to lose hope of them being at Toy Fair, here they are!! <3 Love you, Jakks!

Credit to Sirenixprime29 on believeinwinx forummotion for getting this out first! http://believeinwinx.forum-motion.com/t1571-sirenix-prototypes-at-toyfair-2013 We're all discussing it there, so feel free to sign up and join us!

So let's check this out.

Okay, whoa... only a minute showing off Winx? Seriously? Hopefully IdleHands or AtamaiiToys will go back later and take some more pictures.

So let's see what we have...

These are interesting. I'm a little disappointed they did molded on tops but I'm kinda doubting that this is the mainline anyway. Seems to me like if they were doing a mainline they'd use the normal haircolors. The skirts look a little cheap but eh, it works.

Another thing that makes me think this isn't the mainline is the fact they only showed off Bloom, Stella and Musa. They would be showing off everyone if this was the mainline. But this is a nice sideline-- I wonder if it'll be color change hair or anything. Their wings are also unusually small and you know Jakks loves to go all out on big wings.

I'll bet that this is a color change line.

And a light-up Bloom doll! That also plays the Sirenix song-- I'll definitely be picking this up. I didn't like the transforming Believix doll because it looked too clunky but this is perfect, not clunky at all.

The wings are also a normal size! I'm loving this.

And then one final screencap to show off everything together.

So what do you guys think?! Personally I'm loving what we're seeing, and I'm so eager to see a mainline and the rest of the girls. And if that weird haircolors line isn't the mainline like I'm guessing-- it's not Bloom, Stella, Flora, it's Bloom, Stella, Musa, how exciting!!! :)

Winx Club Season 5 Part 2 Premieres Sunday, February 17th

Is it true? Is it real? Do we REALLY have a solid air date? Let's hope so, especially considering there was a commercial that aired today saying this.

Anyway. Just a post to let you all know if you hadn't heard yet since I know I haven't posted anything saying so yet, mainly because that dates keep changing and I just can't even take them seriously anymore.

Look forward to more episode reviews from me, haha! I know you all must love those. Not. I believe the next episode is "The Emperor's Throne"! I know for a while everyone thought it was The Pillar of Light but I think it got changed. Don't quote me on that though.

Anyway, be sure to tune in you guys! Just one week to go before more Winx! We'll be seeing lots of Sirenix, in both 2D and 3D. Which do you prefer?
Goodbye Harmonix, hello Sirenix!

What Fits Jakks Pacific Winx Club Dolls?

Okay, be honest guys. Who doesn't love redressing their dolls? But I've noticed Winx Club dolls are kinda hard to redress.. they're oddly skinny, have small busts, and super long legs. So I decided to do an experiment!

I pulled several different dolls that I had on hand and tried their clothing on Winx Club. And these are the results! Tecna here is gonna be modeling for us.

MATTEL'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL DOLLS

I decided to start with what I thought would most likely fit.  These dolls were released when the High School Musical movies were coming out and they look about the size of current Skipper. They're pretty short, but I figured it would be worth a try because of their smaller bust and about the same size torso.

Hey, this worked pretty well!
And I was right! It fit really well! Now maybe if I could rip off that ugly fluffball on the front it could be someone's permanent outfit. It's slightly loose at the waist-- but it's not like it's falling down or anything. It's just like if you tried to pull it down it would come off easily.

I don't have any more clothing of this size to try on... but I'd say generally, this was a success! This should fit on all Winx girls, so if you're looking for new clothing for them be sure to pick up some of these if you see them.

BRATZ AND MOXIE GIRLZ DRESSES

Bratz pants.. I didn't even wanna try. You don't understand how painful it is taking tight pants off a Bratz doll with their rubber legs. I never want to experience that again. So all you get is a dress, since I know for a fact shirts would be too small.
It was doubtful that these would fit, since Bratz are significantly smaller in the torso then Winx Club, but I figured it was worth a try. Let's see how it turned out...

Tecna's feeling a little cold.
Woops. We're gonna need some pants under there, because Tecna's showing a little bit too much leg. What is a dress on a Bratz doll, is a shirt on a Winx Club doll. Buuuuut... it is a shirt that fits! As long as you have some you know, pants.

So let's try a Moxie Girlz dress!

I guess it works?
It's slightly longer then Bratz which is a plus, and it fits better two, It's slightly loose around the hips though, but generally the same results as Bratz-- you're gonna need some pants.

SIMBA/WITTY WINX CLUB DOLLS

Yep... the European dolls! I decided to take a chance, even though I was pretty sure it wouldn't fit since the torsos on those things are tiny, but hey, who knows? Let's give it a try.

Whoa.... this actually worked!
NOT what I was expecting, but this came out perfectly! I probably should've used Flora, but. Hey, Tecna works too. She looks surprisingly cute in this.

The shirt just barely fit, but it did! The boots are kinda flaring outwards in the front, but it's not that noticeable and I don't think that it really matters that much. I really like how Jakks look in this! Hey Jakks... if you're reading this, take a look at this! Next time try to include just as many details as Simba does so that yours look just as good in their own outfits!

Okay, so if Simba fits on Jakks... let's see if Jakks fits on Simba!

Nope.
My attempt at putting Tecna's Everyday outfit on Believix Flora was quickly defeated, by the fact that I couldn't get these tights over Flora's rubber legs. I'm sure somebody could... but as I mentioned earlier, getting anything over rubber legs that's not a skirt is horrible. So I just gave up and decided to try it without the tights.

That's better!
It fits, but it looks a little... odd. The stomachs on Simba dolls are really small, so her shirt and skirt have come together to look like a dress. Maybe this would work better with pants or something, I don't know.

The shoes fit perfectly though! It was a little hard to get on her, but I did manage it and they look pretty good.

Overall I'd say their clothing can fit on each other, but Jakks on Simba has a few little weird parts.

BARBIE CLOTHING

While Barbie and Winx Club are definitely closest in general shape and height, that doesn't mean their clothing is gonna fit. Barbie is much bigger in the bust which I think is probably gonna cause some problems, but hey, let's give it a try.
...not really.
That doesn't really work. Not sure if my picture shoes it or not, but the straps are way up high. This would have to be altered a whole lot to really work, especially considering right now it looks like Tecna's left breast is falling out of the dress.

MONSTER HIGH BOYS

Monster High girls I know for a fact won't work. I tried one and I couldn't get it up the bust. It was horrendous. But since the boys are a bit bigger, maybe they'll work? Let's see...
Where's Timmy, this is what he should be wearing!
Uh... kind of. I guess. She looks really, really stuffy though, and the moment I lifted her up the shoes fell right off. The pants kind of fit but they're bunchy in parts, and... as I mentioned before, it just looks really, really stuffy.

But I guess if you're into that it works. Right?

So out of all this... I'd say the two that fit Winx Club Jakks Pacific dolls best would be the High School Musical outfits, and the Simba Winx. Bratz/Moxie Girls work too with pants, and Barbie would too with alterations.

Well, thanks for reading! If you have any questions feel free to ask. :) Which look do you like best on Tecna? Besides her original that is.

Jakks Pacific Musa and Tecna Harmonix Dolls

..have appeared in an ad! So, funny story. This morning my friend Jen from BelieveInWinx forum told me that she had seen a commercial with them in it, but couldn't take a picture, and I instantly freaked out because... well, Musa and Tecna Harmonix!!!

So I spent my day watching hours of Spongebob, despite the fact I hate it, because that's what she said was playing when she saw it. And lo and behold...

Nasty quality image, sorry. I literally had to take a picture of my TV screen.

I'm sure some other people beat me to reporting it, but that's fine. I'm still super excited! Just look at them!

Musa is my favorite of the two. I LOVE the bright pink they used on her outfit, even though I know it's probably partially my TV, and even though it's inaccurate I love the curls in her hair. Her wings are also AMAZING looking, if I may say so myself. She's actually probably my favorite of the line!

I'm a little disappointed that they used a crown on her head like that instead of how Aisha's is since hers is like that in the show, but whatever, this works.

Tecna is SUPER cute too! I love her outfit-- the colors are perfect, and from what you can see, even though it's very little, her wings look adorable!

The long hair also looks super cute, though it's really inaccurate.. but hey, pretty!! Right? Can always cut it anyway, but I think I'm gonna keep mine like this. Apart from Mattel's Enchantix Tecna, I think this is the only long-haired Tecna doll.

What do you guys think of them?!

The Dubs of Winx Club

Winx Club has three English dubs. The Nick one, the Rai/Cinelume one, and the 4kids one! Everyone has their personal preferences, and here are my thoughts on them.

The Nick Dub

This is the only dub of Season 5 we'll ever see. That's kinda depressing. It's not that Nick dub is bad, it's just that you know, variety!

Nick dub is extremely neutral in my opinion. I think part of it is just the fact that Season 5 isn't as interesting as the others, but some of the voices just... really irk me.

Bloom strikes me as really normal. I wish she had a bit more feeling to her voice. She sounds super, super cute sometimes, like when she was talking to Sky in the (second?) episode of Season 5, and she asked if something was wrong, but her battle cries make me cringe sometimes. Her lines don't help either. A lot of them are just "Believe in yourself!" and "We can do it!". I know she's the motivational one Nick, but... really? Can't she show some other character traits besides that? If I had just started watching now that's all I would think of her.

Stella is... nice, I guess. I mainly just have a lot of personal gripes on Stella's voice, that really I doubt apply to anyone else. I grew up with the 4kids naggy, harsh, imperfect voice... now she just sounds like the preppy, popular, perfect girl. I know that now that's basically what she is, but still. I miss all the little quirks of her old voice.

Flora's voice I actually, really, really like. I think it may be my favorite Flora voice up to date. It sounds really mature and natural. It really fits her character. I don't really have any complaints about her voice at all. It's super cool.

Musa's IS my favorite Musa voice! I actually really like Romi Dames as her. When I first heard it was going to be Romi Dames I was kinda like, "...that girl from Hannah Montana? But she's so nasal!!" but this is absolutely perfect.

Tecna's voice is... fine. I just feel like she's always yelling. She needs to relax, sound more natural. I know Tecna isn't really a natural character, but I think you guys get my point. Right?

Aisha's voice is fine too. She's really good at talking, and yelling. She could speak a little clearer but that's about it. I'm more into the deeper voice for her, but hey, this works too.

Overall Nick dub is fine to me. It's not my favorite, but it's not that bad. I don't particularly like the kidded-down script, but I'm not even sure if that's Nick's fault or Rainbow's. I haven't watched the Italian dub subbed so I can't really judge on that.

Their advertising is a little... odd. They advertised really well for the specials, but the Seasons they're absolutely failing at. It says something when we've had about three rumored dates for it to return, since it ended not long ago. I hear we're doing really bad on ratings too... I think that's a mixture of the fact that Season 5 just isn't as good so far, and Nick's poor advertising. I mean, half the time I didn't even know if Winx was airing or not.

The Rai Dub

I actually haven't seen all that much of the Rai dub. I've seen one episode out of Season 3, one episode out of Season 1, and the Magical Adventure movie. The funny thing? I've had different feelings on each of them.

The episode of Season 1 that I watched was "Spelled". Or at least that's what 4kids calls it, not sure what Rai does. It's the one where Musa gets cornered downtown by some witches and Bloom unleashes her full power in a battle with the Trix.

I actually didn't like what I heard from it. Everyone sounded... the same. I'm sure it's just because I hadn't watched much of it, and I thought that of Nick too when I first heard it, but seriously. Bloom, Flora, Layla, and Tecna all sounded really similar from what I remember.

I guess that their voices weren't that bad, but it kinda sounded like a fandub. No one sounded very professional, and there was this weird... thing in the background, I don't remember what it was, there was an echo or something. Like they were talking in a long hallway. I don't really remember. But it didn't sound good.

The Season 3 episode I watched seemed like Season 3 must've been Rai's best work, maybe competing with Season 4 which I still haven't seen their dub of. Everyone did sound a bit more different. I was disappointed though with the fact that Musa sounded so girly. I guess she did early on too, but I was expecting some change. She just sounds so girly. Stella I have mixed feelings on. I did like the girl's voice, but I wasn't big on the tone she was using. Needed to be more obnoxious. Layla sounded extremely regular. I was kinda unimpressed with her and Flora. Bloom's voice I didn't mind. It was cute!

But then the villains appeared. And I cringed, hearing their voices. I'm sorry, but Valtor sounded weirdly gruff and like a 60 something year old man. Yeah yeah, I know, he's even older then that, but he obviously doesn't age. He looks like he's in his thirties. But he obviously didn't sound like it.

The Trix sounded weird. I don't even remember it well. From what I can remember they sounded like generic mean girls. Extremely generic. I think I was too distracted by old man Valtor to think about them.

Sky sounded weirdly dorky. Like he was Timmy, but he wasn't. I thought he was supposed to be the princely guy?

My thoughts on Magical Adventure were... wow. Okay, I was just starting to like Rai Bloom! Then they replaced her voice with this girl that sounded like she came out of a Shojo anime! What the heck, Rai?! She sounded so weak and parthetic, like she was going to trip and fall on Sky any second!

I can't even remember how the other girls sounded. It's like we went back to our former state of everyone sounding exactly the same.

Bloom's dad sounded sassy. And I don't mean slightly sassy, I mean fullout sassy. It was weird, man. I wa s so confused.

The 4kids Dub

Probably the most hated dub among fans, though my personal favorite.
I guess it's probably just because I grew up with it, but I do think it was the nicest of the dubs. I know that sure, Rai had less annoying voices and didn't cut things out, and Nick did more Seasons, but 4kids does have it's good things.
It sounds professional. They got real voice actors to do it, not actors that they thought would work well, and not random people. Sure they cut out things, but like, does that even matter? The stuff they cut out didn't contribute to the story anyway. Who cares if we don't get to see fifteen extra seconds of the Winx walking around.

I also always see complaints about "they changed Aisha's name to Layla!!!!!" "they changed Domino to Sparks!!!!!" "they changed Andros to Tides!!!!"... okay, fine, you can complain about that, they're valid. But the main thing that really kills me about these complaints... is that for at least two of these, Rai did it too. I KNOW 4kids wasn't the only one to call her Layla, they did in Rai too. And when I watched Magical Adventure Rai dub they called Domino Sparks... so come on, stop blaming 4kids for everything. I know they ruin anime and stuff, but Winx Club wasn't a show they really ruined.

But I'll stop ranting on that. Let's talk about the voices.

I love the 4kids voice cast, SO much. I know a lot of people hate it because everyone sounds kinda weird, but it's a fun weird! I mean, do you really want all cartoon characters to sound normal? That'd be so generic and boring!

Anyway. I kinda already described Stella's voice earlier. Woops. I'll skip her. Bloom's voice was really nice! It's the same as Raf from Angel's Friends which is a little silly, but it sounded really cute. She always seemed kinda lively and cheery. But not in an annoying way.

Flora's voice was okay. I prefer Nick's oddly enough. I actually really loved her voice in Season 1, but after that it kinda changed... in S1, it was more mature, but after that it got turned into the cutesy shy girl voice.

Musa's voice was cute too! I liked how scratchy and rough it sounded, it was unique and adorable. Tecna's voice... despite the completely out of the blue British accent, I think it worked. It was deeper then most the girls', and it sounded serious while still managing to be playful when needed. I liked hers.

Layla's 4kids voice is probably my second favorite of the cast, minus Stella. I LOVE it. It's perfect! It's really deep which is a nice change of pace, and it just sounded really pretty. I wish Nick had gone with a more deeper voice.

So now that I've shared my opinions on the dubs... what are yours? Which one is your favorite? Which one is your least favorite? What things do you like best/worst about each one?
