Sorry guys, no pictures today! Though funfact. I'm listening to a Keke Palmer soundtrack as a write this. It's totally Aisha. Have I mentioned I love Keke Palmer? Just not too much as Aisha.
The title makes it sound like this episode is all about the Pillar of Light and saving it and all... nope.
We start off with Luna taking care of Radius, and she basically tells him that everything is in Stella's hands. Well, that's not a good situation. I wouldn't leave anything in this Season's Stella's hands.
Then we flash into CGI, where we're exactly as we left off. The preview clip, 'The Pledge', happens right there. I didn't post about that one. It was kinda lame. Stella saves Aisha from the falling rock and Flora nature kicks Darcy and Stormy (I didn't know nature had it's own kick.) and then Icy and Tritannus swim away.
We chase after them, but he pulls out his mutant merzombies and we kinda get spooked again. He sends four of them at the girls and then swims away. The selkies have the most kawaii scared look on their faces I have ever seen. Aisha pulls out her Neptune sword and hits two of them, which turns them back into... Nereus and Tressa! As they turn back the other two mutant merzombies run away.
OMG Tressa is a cutie in CGI. Nereus is such a good guy. He's so nice. I like you, Nereus. Stay human. We have a small family reunion and then AISHA GIVES HIM THE SWORD
NO
NO AISHA YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KEEP THE SWORD
NEREUS GIVE IT BACK
NOOO
NOT COOL MAN IT COULDVE BEEN YOURS
HOW ARE YOU EVEN GOING TO SAVE THE REST OF THE MUTANT MERZOMBIES NOW YOU KNOW NEREUS ISNT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO DO IT
After we finish our little family reunion the maybe-man-selkies tell us the pillar is collapsing and that we need to do something. Aisha tries some Morphix on it but it breaks through, and then we try Convergence which for one didn't work! Heeeey! I know this is a show about friendship, but it's nice for once where this generic attack of us all holding hands doesn't work.
Instead Stella has a courageous sun moment and uses all of her power to save the Pillar. I don't know how that works, but hey, it worked right? A seal is gone so we inject 10x more sun into the sun pillar. Got it.
We see how on all the worlds the sun is shining again, and then we head to the Solarian castle. Stella's kinda upset because she doesn't want her family fighting again, and that they only got along because it was a crisis. But then she sucks it up and goes in.
Her family congratulates her a little bit and then Radius decides we need to do something to stop Tritannus. Luna complains that he didn't compliment Stella enough and then they fight. Stella starts crying. Tears don't look good in Flash animation.
We're now at Alfea and the teachers all decide they need to train the Winx to use their Sirenix powers as much as they can since we don't have much time. Why is Sirenix so difficult to master? The other transformations were easy as pie. What the heck, Sirenix. Is this why Daphne turned spirit? Is the curse either put in all your effort to learn it or go spirit?
Stella is crying in her room and Tecna is just sitting there making the most blank expression I have ever seen. I know you are the fairy of technology Tecna but weren't you just complaining that no one realized you had feelings? Gosh darn it this isn't helping. TECNA.
Kiko does some weird tricks that upset Stella even more. Then Bloom gets a phone call and goes to answer it, and it's Sky saying that he wants to meet her at sundown so they can go on a date. Bloom is extremely happy and agrees to go.
Then we get a call from WizGiz who apparently needs help and he's over at Lake Rocalucce. We all agree to race down there.
We then have a creepy moment with holographic kings and I want to know why only the kings of Domino, Eraklyon, Solaria, and Andros are important. There ARE other kings. They have a generic king moment where they fight about how to handle the situation, and then someone decides they need to meet in person because this apparently isn't working. I dunno, I kinda liked seeing my fellow kings in odd colors such as orange, green, and blue.
Now we're on Eraklyon with Diaspro. WHY isn't she banished from the kingdom? She poisoned/mind-controlled Sky in Season 3. How is she still hanging around?! Go away Diaspro!!!! Shoo!!
Sky's dad complains about the lack of Sky in the castle. Get out Sky's dad I never liked you either. He appoints Diaspro weird special kingdom helper I have no idea how to spell whatever it was. Sky's mom thinks it isn't a good idea. WELL OF COURSE IT ISN'T, WHY ARE YOU THE ONLY SMART PERSON AROUND SKY'S MOM.
Now we're down at Lake Rocalucce for WizGiz and he is being held by a weird tentacle pollution monster. Well, I guess that needs help. We transform with some new 2D Sirenix clips that were much better than the previous ones. I hope we eventually get a full transformation.
Bloom shoots some fire at it and it shoots some back at Aisha, who then complains her shield didn't work. WELL NO WONDER IT DIDN'T, FOR SOME REASON THE WINX LOVE TO USE SHIELDS THE SIZE OF THEIR CHESTS. THAT IS NOT GOING TO SHIELD YOU FROM ANYTHING IT'S TINY.
Stella shoots some sun at it and it shoots some back at Musa, who uses a slightly bigger shield but is still knocked down. I think the teachers need to show these girls how to use real shields.
Then it shoots some sun at Stella and she puts up a shield and it gets shot back at it, which apparently hurts it. WizGiz tells us to fight fire with fire, so we direct all of it's attacks into one big net Tecna's making. Tecna also does a weird dance as she controls this net which really doesn't look good in the flash animation.
We then throw the net at the monster and it explodes and WizGiz's hat comes out. Did you get into all this trouble because something took your hat, WizGiz?
He explains that it was all a lesson to help them learn to use their Sirenix powers. That was a dumb lesson. Couldn't stick us in the Magical Reality Chamber instead?
Bloom realizes it's sundown and that she needs to meet Sky so she heads back to Alfea. When she gets there we see Sky waiting outside, and then she walks out from inside Alfea and the most unfitting guitar plays as she approaches Sky.
We have an odd moment that was supposed to be romantic where they talk about how they're gonna walk down the same path they did on their first date, and how the pendant of Eraklyon always makes her think of him. Well gosh darn it it better considering it gave him memory loss.
Our romantic moment ends because Diaspro comes in and demands Sky comes back with her. Sky sadly obeys since she shows off her special Eraklyon badge and then Bloom's sad.
The next episode preview doesn't look very interesting. We just kinda fight a trash monster.
Overall I liked this episode, probably better than the previous one. The title is still really unfitting though, What did you guys think of it?
